I had problems with that too and while it's not miraculous, a good sleep schedule did get me in a generally better mood. And what's great is that once you're settled into the habit, there's no effort required. You naturally wake up around your alarm time even without the alarm, and you end up sleepy around the same hour (insomnia excluded of course)
