i ended up vomitting from the alcohol but i woke up with basically no hangover, just a bit of headthumping as i was waking up

i really wanna get him to drink on call with me next time. i wanna get to know more about him, plus drinking alone is a little depressing. god i miss him so much
>>
reading this post is fomo fuck keep it to yourself
>>
>>82485032
you again...
stop drinking, you idiot. stop trying to get him to fuck himself up with you. alcohol is only good in moderation and you obviously don't have what it takes.

quit it and don't drag another soul into this shit, you cunt.
your liver will thank you.
>>
>>82485051
sorry for making you feel sad anon
>>
>>82485065
i drink once every 2-3 months, anon... im not an alcoholic or anything. i like drinking in moderation and i like social drinking

the last time i drank was july, in honour of chesters death
>>
>>82485095
and yet you ended up vomiting from it. you screwed up, anon
it's not because it's "once in a while" that it's ok to drink yourself under the table, you're actively harming yourself that way
you wanna drink? drink, but not to the point of throwing up, for fuck's sake.
>>
>>82485127
i didnt plan on throwing up but like i mentioned in last nights thread theres a very thin line for me between stages of "drunk", but also my liquor handling varies

last time it was 4 6% and 3 9% cans til i vomitted. last night i had 4 6% cans and one 9%. i was doing completely fine until midway through the last drink and then all of a sudden i feel the need to vomit. it never makes sense to me
>>
>>82485066
that's fine can you also apologize for chad chasing? Thanks in advance
>>
>>82485172
drink water then, it neutralizes the alcohol in your body
you don't drink until you start feeling bad, you take breaks and go drink water or eat something
again, alcohol is only good in moderation and you don't have what it takes, if you can't keep yourself from throwing up then don't drink in the first place, dammit.

to be absolutely fair youre right that i shouldn't drink if i cant handle it, and i do need to drink more water when drinking alcohol, i always forget to
>>

its someones OC that they ship with ame, someone posted it in a thread of mine a while back and i really liked it. @angelverance is the twitter i think
>>
>>82485389
all i ask is that you take fucking care of yourself, anon
don't do that kind of crazy shit often, especially if you're gonna drag other people down with it

goddammit, why are people so goddamn worrisome today?
>>
>>82485851
i promise i wont, and dw, im trying to take care of myself. i really appreciate the worry, anon
>>
as a recovering alcoholic who slammed four to six litres of liquors trying to cope with my life, you have two options; either ramp it the fuck up, and commit until you overdose and have a well-needed reality check that results in you vomiting blood for an hour after a night's drinking, or quit now, surround yourself with better, more supportful people and start being sober. i quit not even a year ago, my skin's a slight shade of green-yellow and i still sort of want to drink, but i don't because i know it's best i stay sober.
>>
>>82486017
*four to six litres of liquors daily
>>
>>82486017
anon, im not an alcoholic, ive never drank regularly. i just had a few drinks last night

but its good to hear youre staying sober and are trying to be better. alcoholism is evil, one of the worst addictions. it ruins your life in so many ways. keep going, no matter how hard it is to stay sober sometimes
>>
>>82485939
ok good, i'll hold you to that
so how have you been, anon? been a little while
any plans for the weekend?
>>
>>82486438
ive been ok, i had to do my groceries yesterday and it was nice to go outside. weekend plans are just the regular, im gonna play tlou factions and read manga and browse r9k. what about you, got any plans?
>>
>>82486469
sounds like a comfy weekend is in order for you
tomorrow i'll clean up the place here, not a lot to clean so i should be done in one afternoon
might head out to the pharmacy to get an iodine supplement, i noticed i've been having a bit too little of it lately
and even if i am, it won't hurt to eat a bit more than usual

which manga are you reading?
i should resume ghost in the shell but i picked up dandadan again, so...
i should probably check my backlog for what else needs reading

Yo, Ame!
Sorry to hear you barfed. Will you get to call him over the weekend? Isn't that when you usually can call him?
>>
>>82486502
decently comfy, tho this is basically every day for me.
its good to clean, always feels nice to see your space nice and neat. how do you even figure out your lacking iodine, is it something you can even get from food? im not sure how it works

um, ive been reading a few ongoing ones, kono ko shirimasenka and some cute yuri ones. and i read inio asanos newer work yesterday, because it was sitting on my shelf. might finish it online even if i greatly prefer getting his stuff physically.
dandadan is pretty popular, the guy i like talks about it a bit. not really a fan of most mainstream shounen stuff myself tho but i might read it because of him. it looks interesting tbf

>>82486508
the design is cute! it matches ame well imo

Dang, he really took that assassination to heart... Was he like a fan? Or was it more just like "wow things are so violent I am so done the world is scary" Or something else? If you even know/have talked about it.
>>
>>82486693
>basically every day for me.
every day is a comfy day for you? damn, lucky you
i feel like that might only apply to me if i manage to find a girl irl willing to spend every evening with me at home, lol

>how do you even figure out your lacking iodine
only source of iodine in my diet currently is table salt, and i'm not eating much of it in favor of monosodium glutamate, which is not iodized
maybe that's why i've been feeling down lately, who knows
luckily it's cheap at the local pharmacy

>a few ongoing ones
interesting, haven't read those
>not really a fan of most mainstream shounen stuff myself
me neither, only exception as of late was jujutsu kaisen, which i found pretty reasonable
i enjoy seinen stuff a bit more, been considering re-reading alice in borderland too
>i might read it because of him. it looks interesting tbf
dandadan is more like... a mix of slice of life with some shounen shit
girl believes in spirits, guy believes in aliens, neither believe the other's beliefs are real until she finds aliens and he gets cursed by a youkai
and shit only gets wilder from there, it's quite funny too which is why i like it
>>
>>82486751
he wasnt really a fan of him or anything, seems like its more a "wow things are so violent i cant believe people would kill others for their opinions" type thing. which i understand

>>82486784
everyday is comfy cause im a disability neet and dont really need to do anything. it gets pretty boring tho.
what, having a clean space doesnt bring you even a little happiness?

oh yeah, i forgot about salt. its probably better to take supplements in that case

theyre pretty good, i love kono ko shirimasenka specifically, id put it in my top 10. i love the art and characters so much. and the story is so interesting. not read anything like it, so i recommend it

yeah im more of a seinen fan too. alice in borderland looks good, love the art. dandadan is still technically shounen, its just not slop shounen like most of the others and has a more unique concept compared to others. it does seem pretty funny at least

even if its just an american issue it's still pretty insane to see. hopefully you'll be outta there before it gets too bad
>>
>>82486867
>disability neet
what's your disability?
>having a clean space doesnt bring you even a little happiness?
not really, seeing the efforts after i'm done do make me a bit happy but after that, nope
i'm much too lonely a person for that kind of stuff to bring me enough happiness for it to matter, sadly

>its probably better to take supplements in that case
aye, give them a try as well, i heard they're pretty cheap anywhere

>i love kono ko shirimasenka specifically, id put it in my top 10.
i'd add it to my long backlog of stuff to ready but yeah...
can i just ask you about it later instead? i can't promise to start something else when i'm yet to finish so many others, but i'll read it sometime
>love the art.
yeah the art in alice in borderland is good but more so the mechanics in place if you ask me
the whole thing about how the trials are structured like, the citizens, etc.
i heard it had a netflix adaptation that added some extra content but i haven't watched it
>dandadan is still technically shounen, its just not slop shounen like most of the others and has a more unique concept
kinda? i mean mixing shounen with slice of life is pretty... standard, but it's just that they scale later on and the slice of life is gone in favor of some super overpowered challenges and shit
dandadan has been trying to keep it as is i think, which is quite nice

Did you know there was a school shooting the same day? I've become so desensitized... It's really sad.
I don't understand why Mr Guy doesn't use spending time with you as a way to cheer up! I hate moping by myself so much.
>>
>>82486929
autism. technically classed as one. i also have some back issues that make my life a little harder than id like.
being a lonely person should mean you get more joy outta little things, like nice weather or a clean room or stuff like that. i always try to get joy outta whatever i can so i dont lose my mind to depression (even tho i do anyways)

i will next time i go to a place that sells them!

thats all good, its basically about a guy who wants to kill himself and he quits his job to go do everything he wants to do before ending it, but hes stopped by a little girl who wants to join him on his adventure. in case you read it eventually i wont say anything to spoil it, but its really good

is it live action or anime? might give it a watch if its anime, their live actions are usually not great

oh no thats common, but i mean the whole alien youkai thing, the story itself is unique compared to most of the modern shounens. most are about overpowered sword weilders or isekais rn it seems
>>
>>82487133
yeah i saw that, it was posted all over the board so i couldn't miss it unfortunately. they happen so frequently now its hard not to be desensitised to it at least a little

hes one of those people who feel better through isolation, its weirdly common with men. ive barely met any that didnt cope like this. wish he would talk to me to feel better but i dont wanna push him or anything. but i do miss him. he didnt text yesterday at all so im pretty sad. hopefully i hear from him today. longest ive been without him so far is a day
>>
>>82487161
>autism.
ah, i see
>back issues
ouch, that sucks
posture check then

>should mean you get more joy outta little things
kind of
i do get more enjoyment out of talking to people though, these other little things don't exactly lift me up unless i really give it some thought
but smiling at someone, having a chat with them, shaking someone else's hand, those always make my day
getting a hug, especially from a girl (since guys aren't too keen on that), pretty much makes me immune to bad moods for a day
>i always try to get joy outta whatever i can so i dont lose my mind to depression
i'm glad you're trying, keep it up
i'm proud of you for that

>i will next time i go to a place that sells them!
pharmacies do

>basically about a guy who wants to kill himself and he quits his job to go do everything he wants to do before ending it, but hes stopped by a little girl who wants to join him on his adventure.
ooh, that sounds very interesting
definitely gonna give this a read then

>is it live action or anime?
live action, unfortunately
but i've heard good things about it, surprisingly
wouldn't bet on it being good but might not be so bad either

>the whole alien youkai thing, the story itself
ah true, mixing those two is novel to me as well, yeah
>overpowered sword weilders or isekais
aye... although there are some interesting isekais, lol
log horizon and overlord come to mind on that note

anyway it's 1 am and i'm almost falling asleep
thank you for talking to me today, anon
have a great night whenever you go sleep, stay safe out there
i appreciate you

Well here I am!!! I also don't understand it...
>but i dont wanna push him or anything
I dunno, I feel like the more I've pushed men the better off they've been... And then he could realize "Oh wow... Ame-chan even helps me when I'm sad/depressed, she's so good for me. Perhaps she is the one after all..." Okay I'm getting a little carried away.
>he didnt text yesterday at all
This is so sad. No wonder you drank!! I'm also rooting for you to get some interaction, Ame!!!

goodnight anon, sleep well! thank you as well, i really enjoyed talking today. and thank you for the kind words.
i appreciate you as well :)

it is weird, but its just how they are ig. youre very different cause i dont think ive ever seen someone with such optimism. its very refreshing

i know some work like that but hes pretty closed off so i dont wanna push him just in case. he said he thinks its sweet that i offer to give him space so ill keep doing that for now. but i hope he can rely on me in the future

i hope i get some too! but i understand if i dont...

Yeah and realistically, he needs time to adjust to being able to rely on anyone ever, since men are like that for such extended periods of their lives... I've gotten impatient with people in the past about it and its backfired. It's a little naive of me to expect them to just listen to what I say they should do whenever it goes against everything they've ever known and been taught growing up... Even if I am right
I dunno if you've had any success with helping out a dude emotionally before, but when they finally cave it feels pretty good! Especially if they have enough humility/humbleness/whatever I mean to say "thank you" for it. Like yes... you have improved... You leveled up! You are becoming emotionally intelligent and mature!!! I can fix them all!!!!!! I'm not actually a "can fix them" kinda person I just like seeing people grow and thrive
>>
>>82487455
i have, with my ex, i managed to get him to open up and even got him comfortable enough to cry. it was nice cause he was raised to think his feelings didn't matter cause hes a guy and having him overcome that was nice to see

mr guy is different cause hes already told me that its not some patriarchal bullshit and his family always says its ok to talk about bad feelings but he just doesnt cause he doesnt see a point, unless its with a therapist

its very sweet you also care about people like that! yeah lots of guys can be very silly and stubborn about their feelings.
theres a huge difference between what youre doing and those awful "i can fix them" people, cause they dont actually want to fix anything, those types are just awful
>>
>>82487375

That's some serious success!! Crossing my fingers Mr Guy reaches this point too.

Does he also sort his garbage and recycling very efficiently and dutifully? And really like bread? Is he German? Maybe don't answer this!! I don't know why but what you just said about him made him German in my mind.

I feel like men often play more emotional games than women do... I've talked to/been with both about equally, though that isn't to say that's a lot of people total, so the sample size isn't great regardless... By emotional games I mean the little stuff like asking if something is wrong and they go "I'm fine." and just shut down. I suppose it's not a game per se in this case, because they're not really baiting for you to ask more... I dunno I'm rambling I drank 2 monster energies because I was too lazy to go downstairs and get water.
mfs out here trying to fix people like Bob the Builder

Dude shut up, ur on R9K, the most rude and sex obsessed board on the site. That being said, I'm still right, these guys just wanna see your boobies so stop blog posting and save your time
>>
>>82487649
me too!

idk if hed want me to answer that, but is that a really common german thing or something? whatd i say that got you to guess that?

the stereotype is usually that women do those games, but it does seem like women are a lot more straightforward about their feelings. ive really never seen a woman hide her feelings, but a lotta guys love to do the "im fine" and shutdown thing. kinda annoys me, its one off the only coping methods i cant handle mentally, cause it always throws me off. why say youre fine if youre not?! i don't get it

oooo what flavours? you should go get some water tho. dont get kidney stones baka

I think of germans as overly pragmatic and efficient, so thinking "There's no point venting/emotionally relying on anyone other than a therapist" sounds so... like that to me, lol. They also have special machines just for their bread. And I guess having a special person to specifically talk to only also fits that. It's so funny if I'm right, but yeah don't confirm or deny probably!! It'd just be a really funny guess.

Yeah, it's like worse than pulling teeth sometimes. It's really frustrating for sure. Though honestly to be fair I've met a lot of guys who are the opposite. Extremely quick to vent and be all emotional, but often times they don't listen to anything I have to say and are just kinda exploding emotions at me wildly until they get it out of their system... That feels kinda too specific though and maybe just coincidental to my experiences.

Right now I had blue hawaiin and vice guava. I'm not particularly a fan, but the variety 12 pack was on a nice juicy sale, so I decided to get it anyway!! It also came with the default white flavor which I somehow had never had until the other day and wtf... It tastes like nothing.
>>
>>82487868
hmmm, interesting. ive not spoken to many germans so i dont fully understand what theyre like, but that seems pretty accurate. THEY HAVE SPECIAL BREAD MACHINES?! i gotta look this up, this seems interesting. it was a pretty good guess, even if i can't confirm or deny anything

ive met a few people who do that as well and that actually might be worse than the other type, cause having to be an emotional punching bag sucks. it can be ok when you get support in return, but you usually dont with those types

the white monster has such an interesting flavour when made right, cause some cans taste like rotting eggs. blue hawaiian is disappointing cause they took the other pineapple favour away just to release that... so stupid. i havent tried guava or hawaiian yet but i have a can of the guava in the fridge, they only released it here last week i think

I might be inaccurate, I am American after all... We know little about the outside world.

Are you a monster connoisseur, Ame? I've only just recently started drinking them mainly to help with all the sleepiness I get during the day. Helps me stay up through the fatigue and stuff. My favorite flavor so far is ruby red, but I'm not even sure which ones I've tried because I keep getting variety packs and then forgetting which ones were in them...
>>
>>82488040
even if youre american, doesnt mean you cant have knowledge about other people from other countries!

i would say yes, ive tried most flavours, have a can collection, and i drink one every day. the caffeine effect wears off quick, so dont overdo it with them or they wont help anymore! ruby red is probably the best pink flavour, its pretty good, but rn i only drink ultra fiesta cause i love manga flavoured things. if you havent tried that one, you should! and you could always keep a couple cans to keep track of what you've tried already
