I think it's cute. They really think there are tiny little people in this box and that these tiny people hear them and are trying really hard to follow the instructions being shouted at them. Even as a five year old when my parents took me to see the lion king the thought never crossed my mind that the characters could hear me or might follow instructions that I give them. Lead must have been one hell of a drug. The world is probably a lot more interesting to them. I wonder what other strange beliefs they hold that are less easily observable.
