i hate this shithole amerimutt country where literally 90% of non raw unprocessed food is just fake and diluted with random shit like we're still living in the fucking 1700s
im going to die at age 50 from heart disease or something even eating as healthy as i can here
>>
>>82509707
just go to wholefoods
>>
>>82509716
ALL food is faked, it doesn't matter where the fuck you buy it
they lie on the labels, on the igredients list, on everything
you can not even eat fish here unless you buy the whole fucking fish because half the time it is literally a goyslop poison fish
>>
>>82509727
this is just a skill issue the usa has stricter ingredients labelling laws than europe (but much laxer packaging ones)
>non raw unprocessed food
what kind of processed food are you hoping to buy which isn't processed? smoked peanuts?
yes you have to cook if you want to eat healthy
>>
>>82509751
no i mean you need to grind your seasonings yourself if you don't want them putting a bunch of shit in it
honestly you're better off just sticking to as many european brands as you can
also most cheese here is just fake, i heard they even put wood powder in it because it saves money
i think you really underestimate how much amerimutts will just lie on the ingredients list, this is a low trust country for a reason
even the meat regulation here is retarded, who knows what's in all the beef they sell, probably mad cow disease or something
i still live with my parents anyway (i would not be able to afford half decent food if i didnt) and its like talking to children, they believe everything they're told
all the women in the house still wear plastic garbage as well and i have to be stuck in this shithole country with these non people for the rest of my life
>>
>>82509707
so how about?
just fcking leave lol
go to eastern europe or something

dirt cheap, good food, much safer and no niggers
>>
>>82509814
you're retarded
>>82509811
you're complaining that buying real things means you get a real thing instead of fake mc product
the reason fake mc product is popular is largely because it's convenient
yes, you have to do work to make food this is how food works
you wont find that in europe everything is magical and amazing: garlic is still garlic, pepper is still pepper, and ginger is still ginger etc
while i can easily believe some areas are dire, some of the best produce in the entire world comes from california - the elite don't want to eat goyslop

buy amish cheese or find some reputable cheesemaker: you have to do this everywhere
the idea that you can just go to walmart and find artisan produce is retarded
food takes effort - find a butcher, find a fishmonger, find a greengrocer, etc

all prepackaged meals and tv dinners are goyslop
the few exceptions are like buying a bento made that morning
nitrates, emulsifiers, etc are legal in europe too
>>
>>82509855
>you're retarded
no?? I mean why?
lmao
I just gave (You) an idea lmao
kys faggot you don't deserve to be alive
>>
>>82509873
because you have zero understanding of what it means to migrate
you cannot "just fcking leave lol" it literally isn't possible they will deport you or worse
>>
>>82509855
>you wont find that in europe everything is magical and amazing: garlic is still garlic, pepper is still pepper, and ginger is still ginger
this is amazing compared to this shit country because here that is not true
but otherwise you're mostly right, i would like to find a butcher and just buy meat like that, though my family is very resistant to the idea
but it really isn't just prepackaged meals vs high quality ingredients, that's quite disingenuous, you can cook every night and still eat shit
additionally, im not asking for "artisan" quality food, i just want non adulterated food
>>
>>82509873
you cant just leave to another country forever
>>
>>82509916
i have been to america many times idiot
costco garlic is ass but you can absolutely buy decent stuff everywhere i have been besides florida
some garlic is obviously better than others but that is true worldwide my point was it all needs peeling and crushing and you can't skip that step unless you buy some "fake" product
>im not asking for "artisan" quality food, i just want non adulterated food
there is no difference
to some extent, this is because there has been a divergence in the market with the cheap people buying goyslop and the other people seeking premium products creating a void in the middle
however, what is also true is that these adulterations are almost always in part preservatives which is one of the main drivers in reducing cost since food waste is a massive issue

it sounds to me like your real issues are
>you live with your parents
>your parents buy your groceries
>you have no money
>and possibly no car
you might also live in a shit area
i assure you that it's very easy to find great produce in places like california, washington, and new england
if you're currently stuck in arkansas then try and change that or accept that you live in a backward area capable people leave
>>
>>82509890
>>82509965
yes you can and plenty of people do it
>>
>>82509997
have you ever even gone on vacation abroad?
>>
>>82509972
i live in a major city on the west side of the us, there's plenty of places to get good food i think
it's just hard to get my family to buy quality non goyslop products, we never have prepackaged or premade stuff for dinner but even then we really just buy too much of the stuff
ideally id like to set up a sort of meal plan where we can buy things and reuse leftovers more easily i think
if i wasnt very depressed i think it could be nice to make bento boxes for them and myself for lunch
one day id even like to maybe bike/walk to places and buy some of the food myself like the produce
>>82509997
im not eligible for that sort of thing in any eu country
>>
>>82510042
so you recognize that this is a you issue and not a us issue
if you can bike to a store then you have more locally available food than many people in america you just need to get a job so you have money

fwiw i know how you feel because my parents buy goyslop too and i hate it even as a kid i didn't like it so i didn't eat enough and probably stunted my growth too

if you have a wholefoods or even trader joe's nearby then you have access to decent groceries at least on par with what is commonly available in europe
i don't mealprep but cooking every day doesn't have to be a chore either there are plenty of dishes where you basically throw stuff in a pan and leave it for a while and imo there is no shame in sandwiches
>>
>>82510087
i guess it sort of is my fault somewhat, i could probably be helping my family a lot more, even as a neet
if i could id like to do a lot of housework for them
how do you do sandwiches anon? bread here is usually pretty bad that and the leftover meat we have is usually pretty gross, all stuck in it's nasty half solidified fat mush..
we also do have those sorts of stores near us, but a lot of the time we get food elsewhere since other stores will carry the exact same brand for like half the price
>>
>>82510182
>other stores will carry the exact same brand for like half the price
this is certainly true for a lot of stuff but i'm talking about meat, alliums, cheese, vegetables, etc not fudge rounds and cereal
the nearest walmart to where i was in florida didn't sell a single vegetable it was all snacks and microwave meals lol and it wasn't small either, compared to european supermarkets
>how do you do sandwiches anon?
i put things inbetween bread
it depends what you have easy access to
i have a lot of nice tomatoes near me so i end up eating loads of tomatoes and pretty regularly i'll have like tomato and halloumi or mozzarella in a toasted ciabatta with some leaves and maybe garlic or pesto or something
it's quick and easy with minimal cleanup but i do cook the tomatoes
the best bread for it is the olive ciabatta or the one with chili and olives in it
today i'm having a fish sandwich which is just fish with a side salad and a bunch of fruit and i do need to cook my fish
>bread here is usually pretty bad
i wont argue with that although i'm certain there are good bakeries around
if you get in the habit of baking bread then you're a true king but it's not the easiest thing
i have good bread which is why i eat a lot of it

do you have tinned tomatoes? you can just pour them into a pan, simmer, add garlic, onions, and/or whatever then crack and egg into it or mix in leftover meat
it's incredibly versatile and easy you can serve with bread, rice, or even pasta
>>
>>82509707
If you say and believe you'll die early you're ordering your body to meet the expectation
>>
>>82510298
we have a bunch of tomatoes that we grew this year
i didnt know there were really places with no vegetables
one thing i will ask is how do you get olive ciabatta bread so easily? my dad is allergic to gluten and my mom refuses to eat anything but goyslop white bread so it's hard to finish any freshly baked stuff before it ends up molding
generally because my family buys too much food, it's hard for us to finish things
i think we'd be the kind of family to bake bread but as stated one of us is allergic so it's usually just better not to, ive done it once before and it was okay
how do you make leftover meat good and not all goopy with half frozen fat stuff?
>>
>>82510507
>one thing i will ask is how do you get olive ciabatta bread so easily?
the bakery near me sells it
>goyslop white bread
this isn't even bread i would rather eat cardboard
>'s hard to finish any freshly baked stuff before it ends up molding
i eat like 800g of bread a day and my bread goes hard before it molds
>allergic to gluten
as in celiac disease? afaik this isn't a contact allergy so he should be fine as long as he doesn't eat it
you can use gluten free flours but really you should just use alternatives like rice and potato
>how do you make leftover meat good and not all goopy with half frozen fat stuff
don't make goopy fat meat?
learn to cook with your fat and not against it - you need some fat to cook
for example if you use bacon then use the fat from the bacon to grease your pan and cook everything in rather than adding oil
i have no idea what your "leftover meat" is but you can throw anything into braised tomatoes or stew and it will be fine
i don't usually have many leftovers since i only cook for myself
>>
>>82510621
>i eat like 800g of bread a day
that is insane, that's like an entire thing of white bread every single day, are you overweight anon?
>as in celiac disease
yes, that in addition to no one but me really eating the real bread means that it'd never really be worth it, i do like the potato suggestion, whenever i make baked ones they're always really tasty and good for snacks
>don't make goopy fat meat?
learn to cook with your fat and not against it - you need some fat to cook
i guess what i mean is that the meat is thrown into a container with all the "juices" (which usually even include some gross pan oil) and they get all nasty and make me sick just looking at them
you sound italian or something anon, if i could get some mini olive ciabatta things that'd be delicious though
>>
>>82510710
>that's like an entire thing of white bread every single day,
yes but it's usually not white bread
i typically eat rye unless it's ciabatta but even that uses high gluten flour
>are you overweight anon?
my bmi is like ~21 i can weigh myself if you want an exact number
>potato
leftover potatoes are way better than potatoes to the point where it's recommended to cook them twice as standard
you can always make a hash brown too
>meat is thrown into a container with all the "juices"
my mother does this with beef mince and it is nauseating

i don't eat that much meat maybe some chicken here and there but mostly when i visit my parents on sundays and that's enough that i rarely want more - you don't need meat to have a meal you can totally substitute it for fish, cheese, eggs, or even legumes
since you're near the coast, you should try to find mussels near you they are very cheap, easy, and delicious but watch a video on how to discard the dead ones first

really it all depends on what is around you so find the good stores first and then figure out what to make second
>>
>>82510803
>leftover potatoes are way better than potatoes to the point where it's recommended to cook them twice as standard
huh, i didnt know they were actually healthier when had as leftovers, they are quite good as well
>you can always make a hash brown too
i like hash browns but they always seemed quite unhealthy to me, same as french fries, they have lots of salt and need to be basically deep fried
speaking of cooking how do you do the whole tomatoes + seasoning + egg thingy anyway?
those are sort of the only ingredients i have right now besides some vegetables that id need to cook
>my mother does this with beef mince and it is nauseating
im glad at least someone else agrees, it really is gross
we have big issues here where a lot of fish is mislabeled as the wrong kind i think to cut costs, so i dont trust much fish, but ill try and find ingredients first and meals second
its a bit hard since you have so many options here
>>
>>82510912
>healthier
idk about that but they are very starchy so if you boil them first then they are crispier and fluffier
if health is your concern then use sweet potatoes as they are far healthier
>they have lots of salt
you have the liberty to put zero salt in them
it's ultimately smashed potato and the rest is up to you
you can choose to cook them in lots of oil or not and you can put garlic, onion, and whatever in them or not
there is nothing necessarily unhealthy about them it basically depends on how fried they are ie how much oil you use
>how do you do the whole tomatoes + seasoning + egg thingy anyway?
you pour a tin of tomatoes into a pan and add things to it
or you braise tomatoes yourself but most people wont do this
keep it on a low heat and add your firmer things first until you finish it off with an egg since that only takes a minute
you can add peppers, carrots, peas, lentils, cooked meat, and basically anything
>>
>>82511083
i wish i liked sweet potatoes more, i really dont like sweet things
but i guess just baking them is probably alright for you
sorry anon in the end the egg and tomato thing just seemed too complicated and i decided to skip breakfast
i dont really have anything besides those two ingredients anyway and im no good at chopping things
but thank you for helping anyway you can always sort of pretend i made something like that
also sorry that i've just been sort of draining you for information about things
>>
>>82511228
>the egg and tomato thing just seemed too complicated
you literally open a tin into a pan on a low heat and then crack an egg into it after a while
it's called shakshuka and it's incredibly easy to make
>i've just been sort of draining you for information about things
why would i care?
>>
>>82511271
i only have fresh tomatoes anon, none of the canned ones, i dont trust canned goods either
>why would i care?
i dont know, i just feel bad about how one sided my conversations always are sometimes, sorry anon
how do you eat it after it's done? wouldn't it be sort of hard with a fork?
>>
>>82511305
with fresh tomatoes it takes longer
you can't literally just have tomato you must have other stuff
here is a recipe you can bookmark
https://www.lilvienna.com/shakshuka-with-fresh-tomatoes/
the laziest version would be to just crush your tomatoes, add them to a pan, cook to a desired consistency, and then add eggs and herbs: no knife required
>>
>>82511375
i see.. sort of
even if im skipping breakfast today i will keep it in mind anon, it seems like a good and healthy dish to make for breakfast
do you usually use a non stick pan for it? i dont use those since teflon is toxic
but its no wonder you can eat a lot of bread with those types of dishes, ill try to make making it my one improving thing im suppposed to do each day i think, for tomorrow, thank you euronon
>>
>>82511475
it's a very versatile dish so i recommend to a lot of people as you can have it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even omad depending on what you put in it
>do you usually use a non stick pan for it?
there is no reason to ever use a non stick pan for anything other than fish or meat (and even then it isn't strictly necessary but i do use one for fish when i feel lazy)
>i dont use those since teflon is toxic
while i am coping, not all teflon is the same and pfoa has been banned for like 20 years so if you have a good pan it's much less likey to be an issue
although really the only reason to use a non stick pan is laziness and/or incompetence
either way you don't need a non-stick pan for a dish like this or any dish featuring a lot of water or fibre
>>
>>82511536
i dont know what id do without anons..
>nonstick for fish and meat
do you not cook with any oil? we use avacado oil in a cast iron mostly since my family and i do not like seed oil at all
>teflon isnt that bad anymore
doesnt it still kill birds and stuff? i really cant trust this sort of stuff in the us, you know?
i will also keep the water and fiber thing in mind since i didnt know that
>>
>>82511595
>do you not cook with any oil?
of course i use oil although it depends to an extent what i am making
>>
>>82511610
i mean with meat and fish, since the oil usually makes stuff not stick
>>
>>82511613
yes i know
if you can get fish skins perfect without a non stick pan every time then you obviously already have experience cooking
although i don't have a cast iron pan
>>
>>82511624
ah, sorry anon, i didnt mean to be rude
i guess i dont have much experience with fish since im so untrustworthy of them
im just a bit excited because we always have eggs and canned/fresh tomatoes, so this could be a dish i have a bit more regularly
>>
this is demonstrably false unless you mean dying of aids wich you probably could get from your hook ups with troons
>>
>>82510042
You dont want to live in the eu. Its a collection of miserable ugly third world shitholes. There isnt a single decent country in the eu
>yuropoor that has lived in both europe and the US
Id kill to go back to the US or move to canada
>>
dying at 50 sounds like a factor of mercy if it's natural causes
