For many, "restoration" may work as a good remedy, it will fix some things like the keratinization of the glans and restore some sensitivity and replicate the natural function of the foreskin at least to some extent. In my case (I don't know how rare I am), my nervous system must have been damaged because the end of my penis is, as far as I can tell, all that is erogenous in my body. It's cut off at the scar and the sensitivity stops beyond it. I have never seen an explanation as to why I have this problem, I can only infer that it must be due to the mutilation (and visibly it looks botched), because it stops right at the scar.
