the most fundamental distinction between male and female reproductive roles is that females have to spend 9 months gestating a fetus to reproduce, and continued support for the child is important after birth. Whereas males can impregnate any number of women at any time. As such the reproductive goal for males is evidently to mate with as many females as possible and thus men evolved to be significantly more competitive, aggressive, and stronger than females. The reproductive goal for females is to mate with the highest value male possible. Women have to dedicate an incredible amount of time and energy to gestation therefore it is paramount they devote their energy towards a high value offspring. Moreover, women are actually incentivized to raise children on their own because A: a genetically successful male offspring should devote energy towards seeking mating partners instead of committing to a single family, and thus the mother should seek a mate that possess those traits, and B: if the offspring is female, she will have the same independent trait of the mother which reciprocally ensures the success of case A. For this reason women have very little competition and are extremely selective. This is evident as through much of human history only 1/5 of males reproduced while 2/3 of females reproduced. Women don't actually care how you treat them, as long as you're attractive and you fulfill their primitive urges. When women complain about nice guys they're not talking about nice attractive guys who can read social signals to identify intimate consent. They're complaining about guys that are polite to compensate for their lack of genetically viability. Moreso they're forced to be nice and adhere to the social influence of women and other attractive males so as not to be ostracized. They're just doing it to survive
