>eh, i think china or russia is moar likely 2 cause ww3

Russia and China? Russia and China are the one's who are trying to bring about peace and solidarity, they're the one's who want a multipolar world where each nation is treated equal when it comes down to voicing one's complains may it be on politics, economics relationships, etc. It is the neo-liberal press who have historically and still to this day benefit from the wars in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Congo, Yemen, etc. This isn't even to mention how China has itself a foreign policy of non-intervention (which is the main reason you never hear about China invading nations in the morden day, compare that to USA for example), which was implemented under Deng Xiaoping primarily so that China could have better relationships on the world stage (another thing to highlight is how this policy got implemented when China was opening up to the world stage as a whole, socialism with Chinese characteristics).

China has helped with the belt and road initiative, China oversaw Iran and Saudi Arabia getting closer in 2023, Russia has been trying to end the war in Ukraine by negotiating with America, Russia and China both have contributed to helping nations in the global south through BRICS, both Russia and China have condemned the occupation of Palestine.

Russia and China aren't your enemies, it's the ruling elite of the west who are your true enemies.

I live in the baltics
>>
>>82621792
The Baltics? The reason why Russia is "hostile" to the Baltics is because she knows that if NATO was to conduct an invasion of her then the Baltics would be some of the first countries to send troops into Russia. Russia has been able to have itself good relations with countries such as Kazakhstan, Belarus, and other former Soviet states, but this is because those nations have shown that they won't submit themselves to NATO by allowing foreign troops and foreign actors to dictate their politics (one example of this has to be Ukraine in 2012 when the US sponsored a coup against the sitting president for trying to get closer to Russia), it's hard to have a good relationship with someone when they're on your front doorstep siding not only with your enemy but dismissing any concerns that such neighbor (Russia) might have.

>>
>>82621852
>We joined NATO for our own protection.

The Baltics joined NATO during a time period when Russia was weak, but not only that but Russia itself even tried to establish some form of relationship with NATO just so that there wouldn't be another Cold War in the near future (or a war that we're currently seeing in Ukraine)

If you get sometime, I would recommend taking a look at this video. It's not that long and this pretty good.

It's great. He used to run around slamming his body into our front door and it would make a loud thump sound. Along with that, he loved to jump around. He seemingly wasn't aware of what all that was doing to his body so we had to put a stop to it. He had a limp for awhile.

>will it keep increasing until you finish your masters or is that the set amount
I finished my master's a couple of years ago, and the master's loan was paid as a lump sum (which didn't even cover the course fees, I needed a scholarship for that otherwise I couldn't have gone).
The interest rate is set at the RPI + 3%, I think. Which is like 4-7% a year. It's never getting paid off... but it also doesn't need to be, I suppose.
>i wish my country had more forgiving education laws like that. it seems like we just keep going backwards on that though, very frustrating
On the upside you have full ride scholarships (and a lot more scholarships in general), which are basically unheard of in the UK. A lot of universities there are going insolvent, too. I picked a great time to decide I wanted to work at one...

Morels have a pretty unique taste that is hard to describe imo. Very savory, somewhat meaty/umami. Parasols are also pretty savory but have a softer flavor profile compared to morels, maybe a bit more nutty?

Yeah, in later chapters. Not like 'How to cast spells' stuff but more history and origins. Honestly been feeling really under the weather the last few days so I haven#t really had the chance to read.

very oftentimes i compare myself to people who have friends and i feel really sad. i look at my own failures to maintain friendships of people i like, my lack of a romantic life, of social skills, and i feel like a deformity. usually being sleep deprived leads to a worse mindset so that is probably the biggest effect. at the same time though it's hard not to feel really dejected when life keeps shoving in my face that people have friends and charisma and i don't.

i understand. it's hard to so-to-speak quiet the comparisons when you're surrounded by them. but i don't think you're lesser just because your path doesn't look like theirs. we all bloom at different times and you're still in the middle of your own unfolding. so don't give up and try your hardest! even if it feels slow, as long as you're still moving forward that's what matters

Yeah. Thankfully I get paid to do it this time around. I got offered a place somewhere better but they wanted me to pay them...

I'm pretty sure my interest is now larger than whatever payments I'd be making. It'd be really messed up if you had to actively repay it. Fortunately they won't send the boys around to rough me up.
>if that wasn't the case that would be a super predatory loan
The only problem is they take 9% of your pre-tax income past a certain (low) amount if you stay in the UK. Or post-tax if you move outside the UK and are honest enough to report your earnings. So you're stuck doing that for 30 years. I've never earned enough to pay it though and I'm currently exempt because I'm a student. In retrospect I should have just not told them I moved...
>has there been any response yet to fix that crisis?
Nope. Despite higher education being one of a few things we're good at internationally it gets almost no funding, and the student fees haven't been allowed to increase in years (which makes no sense with the loan system). Outside of Oxbridge, universities are bankrolled by international students who pay like 3-4x as much and master's degrees they can charge what they want for. It's a very precarious situation.

baka review!
2 day we got 2 items 2 review! (technically 3, let's just say it's 2.5!)
our first item 2day is a fried chiccken borgar called "His majesty's burger"
It consists of black toasted buns, salad, tomator, fired chicken, mayo and bbq sauce! I very much enjoyed the toasted buns and the over all taste of the borg, though the chicken was a little dry and it was rather dificult 4 me 2 eat it without it disintegrating. I h8 it when food does that!
over all, i give it a 7.5//10
Our next item is a pidser that I ordered from the same restaurant *yes they do pidsers and borgs. They also do kebabs!)
i ordered a 2 in 1 pidser meaning the right side was one pidser and the left side was another. I went with simple chees pizza on the right and a peperoni pidser on the left. They were rather good. The pad has a unique texture and the pidser were not dry at all. I rate it over all am 8.5//10 4 the both pidsers
thank u 4 reading my baka review!

It's the same dream I've had other times, this time I was dancing on the top floor of a building with this platonic love I had recently.
I think it's more what i didnt do. I've never had much contact with girls in my life. I was raised by a loving mother who separated from my father in my early teens, and I think everything went downhill from there. So, I'd say I'm cursed with a strong sense of empathy, but I have difficulty approaching some people, especially girls, and this lack of affection from the opposite sex has probably had a negative effect on me.
Posts like these have probably been repeated thousands of times in this site but at least now I feel a little better for venting out.

This thread smells like pussy-starved virgin

Anyways I finished Cronos The New Dawn a couple nights ago and I thought it was great. I like dead worlds, they always make me feel oddly relaxed, even if the only other thing existing out there wants to kill you.
Everything feels pointless, even hope itself, and there's no good ending but no bad ending either because it's over before it even begins
Gib more games like this, they hit so close to home

>>82595421
>Are you much of a fan?

The most I can do is sloppy versions of some of their stuff, but it'd take an insane amount of time and dedication to get to their level, we're talking about two of the best guitarists in the world after all...
>he played with his left hand and learned to play with the high e string at the top of the guitar instead of at the bottom
I find it cool when people have the creativity to do their own thing instead of following conventions. I'd assume swapping strings around was a way for him to modify his playstyle
Do you play any instruments?

Not my cup of tea but I can appreciate them. The one I liked the most was Cowboy Dan

I rarely order out desu. It is pretty expensive here and hard to justify for me. Shame that they moved. Now it takes me about 20 minutes to get there.
>>82646287
>how does wow on private servers work?
Depends on the server. Mostly the same as retail though. I only play Classic/TBC on pservers so not sure about later expansions. Server I am currently playing is Classic+ so it has custom content like more professions/dungeons/raids.

Nier Automata's world felt pretty dead (and hopeless for most of it), unless you count all the robots. Maybe Shadow of the Colossus as well. Grim Fandango is very dead, if you want a sarcastic answer.
>Have you played them?
Not much. I think a bit of the Sonic Generations demo and the first couple of stages of 1, but they didn't really hold my interest.
I heard that Pizza Tower is kind of like a Sonic game and I liked that a lot.

I spent about 3 hours yesterday fighting with the UPS website to mail a package to someone, then woke up really early today thinking the UPS guy was coming to pick it up. Instead he just sort of stood outside my apartment complex and didn't tell me.
So I ventured out to the UPS store. There's only one in Hong Kong, and it's literally just a tiny room with 2 guys behind a desk. I had to give over my ID, open up the box and have them go through everything, then email the store a copy of my packing label. Also I'm getting billed extra because the box isn't the dimensions it said it was. I used to trust UPS with my life but this felt like amateur hour. But they have the package now and it'll hopefully arrive in a few days.

It's coming out on the 30th so tomorrow but it's still not even afternoon in Canada so this might take more than expected. I'm so nervious I don't know why, it's not like I'm getting executed tomorrow.

No no, that's just how my brain always reacts to new things in life. It's probably gonna be good I just need to calm down.

>r there any other choices 4 delivery? Sounds like the ups is underfunded in HK
Quite a few but besides this I've never had any issues with them. They always deliver stuff on time and in one piece. I'm pretty sure it's already on the plane out of here, or at least at the airport.
>What do u reckon?
I think it's the cheese. You can get good cheese here, they just cheap out.

>maybe u'll be able 2 find a job once u learn enough python!
Sure, but I'm not just learning python, I'm trying to learn everything about coding, maybe one day i can both get a job and make a game

>so it's sort of sweet then?
It has a certain level of sweetness from the paprika and onion, still mostly savory, I'd say.
>how did it go?
Went well enough, passed, but could have done better.
>what vidya r u gonna play? Moar wow?

been battling insomnia the last few days in which i had to work the day after. work has gotten better so i guess that's why my sleep problems have gotten better to, i even managed to sleep without melatonin for like 7 hours last thursday night.

hopefully i'll be able to not drink more than 2 coffees per day so i won't be as dead on the weekends so i can draw and stuff.

i also recommend you guys to read Touhou Project Niji Sousaku Series - Koumakan no Onnatachi, i started a few minutes ago and it seems like a fun read, even though i don't know that much about touhou. there's an english translation on mangadex so you can check it out. that scythe girl eiki-anon likes appears a bunch so at least i think he'd enjoy it. meiling is one of the main characters so i'd say kaguya-anon would like it as well.

>positive world
Sure but that feels a lot more unrealistic, whereas a dead world is just a matter of time
>What game r u gonna play next?
Still playing Hell is Us and Conscript but I wanna play the new Silent Hill after I'm done with them, and maybe Silksong
>job search
What's that?
Anyway, I've decided to put my goon tech on hold for a while and started working on something I can put in my portfolio, gonna try to get it done by the end of the week. Other than that it's looking pretty grim for me at the moment...

>Nier Automata
I couldn't finish that one unfortunately...
>Shadow of the Colossus
Played that as a kid, cool game
>Grim Fandango
What's it about?
>I think a bit of the Sonic Generations demo and the first couple of stages of 1
I don't know about Generations but the first Sonic was one of the slowest and not the best representation of the series. 2, CD and 3 were a lot better
Also to fully appreciate the Genesis games you need to be a proper retro gaymer and use composite signal (you can emulate it)

>maybe i just didn't like the melody
Fair. Tim's playstyle can be a bit too adhd due to overusing certain techniques
>the best in world
Not the best but some of the best for sure
There are so many great guitarists nowadays it's hard to keep track anymore
>is this the genre you usually enjoy playing?
My daily workout is 90% Polyphia stuff so I guess so...
>i used to play the ukulele briefly but i sold it off long ago now
How come?
What do you prefer doing in your free time?
>salmon with a side of green beans and rice
Unusually healthy coming from an Ameriburger...
>what about favorite snacks? drink?
Cookies, fruit juice, coffee and water

I never sent anyone packages this far so i don't rly have any experience in this. Was it dificult finding this stuff out?
>I think it's the cheese.
What's wrong with the cheese? Does just taste bad?

>It has a certain level of sweetness from the paprika and onion, still mostly savory, I'd say.
I think a good dish always has a good mix of flavours that complement each other
>Went well enough, passed, but could have done better.
I did a test 2day as well and i managed 2 get a max grade!

>been battling insomnia the last few days in which i had to work the day after. work has gotten better so i guess that's why my sleep problems have gotten better to, i even managed to sleep without melatonin for like 7 hours last thursday night.
Its good 2 hear that u've been winning ur battle with insomnia! How was ur sleep quality? Had any interesting dreams?
>hopefully i'll be able to not drink more than 2 coffees per day so i won't be as dead on the weekends so i can draw and stuff.
How many coffees do u usually drink?
>game recomendation
Sounds fun! I would try it rn if my intenet didn't shit itself...

>Sure but that feels a lot more unrealistic, whereas a dead world is just a matter of time
Do u find comfort in the bleakness of such a world?
>Still playing Hell is Us and Conscript but I wanna play the new Silent Hill after I'm done with them, and maybe Silksong
I've heard of conscript. Remind me, what's it about?
>Anyway, I've decided to put my goon tech on hold for a while and started working on something I can put in my portfolio
Wonder what's it gonna be... whatever ur working on, i hope it works out and helps u find a job!
Have u been enjoying ur hermit arc or is that over?
