nah, just generic police state/surveillance shite creeping in. and we're not even sure WHICH state: by the time it's all implemented, this current government will be long gone. all the politicians themselves comfortably retired to the US.

it's all very spooky, but it would be nicer if they could FINISH OUR HIGH-SPEED TRAINS.

i mean the original white paper made the case it'd be cost-effective, better in the long run. compared to the costly rail improvement strategies they had at the time (i.e. none).

we build a rail network once. just do it again. there's still money going into it, somehow, it just gets thrown into the same mysterious black hole as all the other contracts.

I used to be this obsessed with the mail. It was when I was regularly buying drugs and hiding that fact from the gf at the time. It got very bad at one point that I was getting the packages shipped to me at my work address, had to come up with a creative lie when the receptionist asked why I got so many parcels delivered there.

When I did get them shipped to the house I'd have to plan to be in and available to swoop it up before she noticed, but that was obviously not a reliable method since you never really know which day they're going to arrive. Somehow never got caught in either location and got away with it all scot free. The perfect crime if you will.

>>
>>82663696
I saw her live in 2006 I think at the "Give it a name Festival" in LONDON.
It was the time when all the emo bands were everywhere, I went in with a backpack that me mummy filled with Pom Bears and I got searched on the way in and they the security lad took all my Pom Bears.
When Paramore came on stage I had no idea who they were and I dont think many of my friends did but she was a cute girl on stage with bright orange hair, very short and she asked everyone in the crowd if they knew who she was and everyone went wild, because it was a cute girl. I dont remember any of their songs.
I remember Underoath though and My Chemical Romance.
Train ride home was okay I kept getting checked out by emo girls then I went back to school as the emo loser the next day.

>>
>>82663775
Aye they are. I was the same mate as I was big into metalcore at that time but I was a bit more picky/elitist than the people bouncing around to ADTR. Underoath still had 2 or 3 songs I secretly enjoyed anyway. Especially when they were a bit rougher and less "god we wanna be on kerrang" core.
>>
>>82663788
Kerrang was huge back then, I had so many posters on my wall. Panic at the Disco also played that festival and Atreyu I belieb.
It was a really good night. I didn't go the second night which was Lost Prophets kek. I was huge into screamy music back then but could never get into Bring Me the Horizon when everyone got into them. The singer just seemed hugely arrogant and they were always playing nearby in small clubs I just never wanted to go. The last screamy bands I got into were In Flames and Caliban.
I kinda got out my emo phase around 08, always loved Zeppelin and Guns n Roses, then I went down the underground rap rabbit hole. Now it's just any kind of music.
>>
>>82663826
I was always a metalfag, but went from dadrock to coreshit to most extreme genres nowadays. But even as a teen I was way pickier in taste. While they liked the bands you listed I was off chasing Whitechapel or As I Lay Dying, then lesser known shit like Buried in Verona was a favourite for a bit. Always liked to go away from the mainstream, but nowadays I also don't mind some mainstream as long as it's actually decent for me.
>Lost Prophets
Fucking hell don't remind me. That band was my obsession for a good few years and occupies like a serious core memory in my head, only for Ian Watkins to rape a baby right through those memories.

Was never emo, but now I listen to actual "emo" like your American Football etc. Just a bit of banter with one other britfeel lad who gets triggered by what is/isnt real emo and he specifically called Paramore trash so here we are.

>So where is the ECHR when white christians get arrested for silently praying 200 yards from an abortion clinic?

Most lefties (almost all civil servants, teachers, solicitors, and the professional middle class generally) see abortion as completely morally fine and basic human right. Anyone getting in the way of that right to abort a kid is therefore obstructing their human right.

The PMC (professional middle class) hate religious people who oppose abortion. See them like evil monsters defying a womans right. So they do anything to censor them.

They dont see it as a free speech thing. To them, it is like banning a paedo from protesting their right to nonce kids. Right wing beliefs are just abhorrent and evil to them.

Mumberg "cunted" me, I asked to borrow 30 quid on Friday.
>Don't worry about it, here's 60
Bennies day today, bills food etc take up nearly all of it, I have 100 left to last the next two weeks....
She's gone and bought 120 quids worth of tobacco for me and wants the 120 quid and the 60 now.
This is the first week i've been positive for cash in months and looking hopeful and on the up.
I'm beyond fuming, if she was my departed dad i'd have told the cunt to fuck off and laughed at him.
Artificial wombs are needed above everything, the tyranny of mumbergs must end!

Unfortunate. I assume that as residents of the British Isles, you've travelled to continental Europe at least once, given both your proximity as well as the appreciation for high culture many Britons have. If this assumption is correct, which European country would you say this phenotype is most common in? Alternatively, which European country has at least a sizeable population of women who look like this living in destitute farming villages who could be plucked up in the middle of the night (as part of an arrangement with her mother and father in which I bridenap her for a sizeable sum of ash) never to return again (unless of course she wants to, as I'm sure that over time she will become accustomed to a gentleman instead of an abusechad [at least I imagine this is the case, surely no women can be more rude and brutish as American "women"])?

Well that phenotype is definitely a more anglo/celtic looking one rather than germanic/iberian/romance, the problem is just that girls that look as nice as that are incredibly rare in the isles these days. Cash doesn't exist any more, we've all been moved onto the dust standard. Coal dust is holding its value for the time being but I do think it's days are numbers, can't go wrong with the precious metals but people really do want them to in ingot form so it's often more trouble than it's worth trying to weigh it out in dust form. Your hard drugs will always have a market but it's a black one, in more ways than one. You're probably best off going for any of the major radioactive dusts, in that they're very valuable and have the added bonus of being able to inflict cancer on your gentleman rivals.
>>
>>82664701
I see. I suppose we're lagging behind in America then. If I were to buy precious metals with my cash and then grind them into a fine dust would I be able to purchase a wife?

Thats not how software dev works, especially for entry roles and if you are smart and build a portfolio (which you do as a dev).
All you need is proof they know the logic of how to code, not that they're swish with the latest and greatest, unless they're going for senior roles.
Keep telling yourself otherwise despite literally knowing far less, though.

Got me minipc coming tomorrow to set up as me downstairs tv lad. Old dell optiplex micro but unfortunately I neglected to notice that those bitches don't come with wifi as standard, guess I'll need to nab either a usb wifi nic or the actual internal little bit and antenna from work as a short term/permanent solution to the problem. Since I intend to be off sick for another day tomorrow this shall have to wait until Thursday, guess on the bright side I am quite capable of installing ubuntu and whatnot from a usb and if absolutely necessary can run a cable and/or share the network from a laptop. We've got options is what I'm saying.
>>
>>82666276
Been tempted to get one meself just to hook it up to the TV and use it as a glorified youtube machine, but with adblocker installed as the tv app ads are fucking ridiculous.
Wifi usb sticks should hopefully not be too dear nowadays anyway.

You don't need that though. I can buy anything I want on 800 bennies. A few months saving I can get a gaming PC (already have one). I could fly to Spain for 300 squid as well.
>>
>>82666301
I've got a laptop plugged in at the moment but the HDD is definitely on the way out and it's pointless getting a replacement drive when I can get neater smaller computer for basically the same price. I do all my streaming from Stremio but occasionally have to torrent something obscure so it's much easier to do it this way. Also I only have a 1080p TV and have no requirement to go higher so that also keeps cost down, really don't want to get stuck in the smart tv ecosystem.

Oh yeah usb wifi sticks are like 8 bong from ebay.

I dunno mate I can merrily buy quite a lot of shit easily, and still save more than you on it. I can get a gaming PC after 1 month, not "a few".
>>
>>82666386
I'm not the lad you're replying to but not having to save is nice, I don't have to budget at all, I can pay my mortgage and bills and food and drink and then spend a grand on other crap if I'm so inclined. I do understand the frugal lifestyle, I lived it for many many years, but it's also nice to just buy shit as and when you want it.

Turns out you can just enable zramswap in the kernel parameters rather than install that zram bloat package into your systemd. You shouldn't use zram with a swap on disk anyway.

I could use a different init but systemd is so engrained into everything now. Devuan wouldn't be a thing if Debian just made it easy to pick an init during installation. Yes I was up all night testing out shit. Time for bed.

Not if you have a sprog
>>
>>82671258
You could get a not-deadend job.
Unfortunately for you lads, that usually means you have to put in an effort on improving yourself.
>>
Everything is pointless in the sense that at some point in the future everything will turn to nothingness as even the last proton will eventually decay.

The only sensible option in life is to maximise your happiness in any way you can.

used to beat my meat probably daily to pictures of pamela anderson, now shes old af, grim how fast time flies

So you don't truly believe everything is pointless.

Using the steam deck as my primary PC now, got it docked and hooked up to the big monitor.
Seems to be holding up okay, might be able to get rid of the big old box on the floor.
>>
>>82671355
I know quite a few people do that. They have a main dock then just take it around aelsewhere.
>>
corr they showing tits on itv1
>>
>>82671355
What happens if the deck breaks? You should always have a back up, IMO.
>>
>>82671375
Last time you touched tits, Shippy?

Well you could say the same of my PC.
I do have my phone and an old laptop still.
I don't really want to keep the old PC tower lying around just in case.

It's actually mental how incredibly easy good looking women have it. Their lives differ so much from mine.
>>
>>82671460
i know, thats why my life goal is to become a woman
>>
>>82671414
Fine, I'll have your PC then, but you'll have to bring it to me.

>i am convinced these jobs dont exist
Like 80% of tech jobs nowadays are remote. COVID really ramped it up. Sometimes they want you to go to the office like once a week or once a month or, as in my case, "never unless you feel like it".
Hell someone I knew was like an "operations director" and worked from home almost all the time too.
>>
>>82671457
I work for the council, do minute taking and admin stuff so I can be home most of the time.
They're trying to get us all back into the office but I'm refusing and luckily my boss doesn't give a fuck.
>>
>>82671481
how do you even get a womfy job like that.
>>
>>82671484
I find that the good comfy jobs are usually internally advertised only. I got into the council doing a shite temp job, and then found this permanent one on the internal jobs board.
>>
>>82671484
>how do you even get a womfy job like that
Be a good looking woman
>>
>>82671525
Where I work everyone works from home.
There are about 3 women.
Only 1 is typically "good looking", and only if you like alt girls.
Try again mate.
>>
>>82671481
You get a few grand a month discretionary income doing that?

Lets say youre an employer. Would you hire this guy or a good looking woman if they both had the same qualifications?
>>
>>82671558
i wouldnt hire a nonce, no.
>>
>>82671558
Behold, a 16 stone man
>>

>if they both had the same qualifications?
Not an employer but I contribute to the employment assessments. You'll never have 2 identical candidates. Realistically if you did, you just pick the one you found had the best personality.
I could not give a shit what people in my team look like as long as they work hard, especially if they WFH and never show up anyway.

His personality is shit, so I wouldn't hire him anyway.
>>
>>82671539
Not allowed to claim because I do have a desk at the office that I'm leaving empty.
>>
Good thread imo but now it's time for a new one
>>
>>82671589
I would but I've been slapped with the 5 minute captcha delay again. Fucks sake I don't even remember my router resetting.
