I broke down crying again because I'm desperately looking for a job and I'm not getting hired despite all my qualifications. I've seen my female colleagues getting hired at 20 without degrees but getting hired as a man is a nightmare. I sent my applications to over 30 schools I think but I'm only getting 1 or 2 interviews every week. Some of them just ghost me, others reject me, and even when it seems like I'm about to finally get the job there's some bureaucratic hurdle to hold me back. I feel powerless and discriminated in a female-dominated field and I deactivated my socials because I didn't want people to see me snap online. I fucking hate living with my parents at 27, I'm thinking of committing suicide if I'm not getting anywhere soon.
Females, unlike males, are nice to look at so even if you think you are better qualified they literally bring more value to the job

I'm about to start applying for a job in the field of computer science (fuck me), and I also recall plenty of examples of women around me being given an enormous amount of preferential treatment both in academia and in the hiring process. It's truly fucking ludicrous. There should be a government policy, that your gender as an applicant for jobs should be obscured.
