Should I feel bad? It's the first time I've done it since the start of the semester (6 weeks ago) and today's my birthday anyway. I'm so sick of my fucking nasally ass professor blabbering on for 80 minutes about shit that I don't care about, I finally just had enough and left. Probably won't do it again, today was special though.
>>
You're the one paying for it, your prof doesn't care
it's your own self being stunted in their mind.

>Should I feel bad?
i mean i used to do that all the time, problem is tho i ended up not learning anything and ended up unemployed after i graduated with student loans, like whatever relief i got in the moment is not the worth the ongoing three years of unemployed since i graduated cuz everything is rigged so that if you dont get into the pipeline your senior year its like you cant get a job

you should have just never went it's your special day
also no don't feel bad if the professor is blabbering they can think what they want to think unless you are trying to achieve good boy points w them

this guy will never understand going to a shitter class with a shitter professor. better off staying at home or doing literally anything else
plus often times you are just paying for the degree, not so much the education.
>>
>>82665686
Nobody cares. Better to go during a break though, annoying otherwise

It is fine, lecturing is well known to be an ineffective teaching method (especially for over an hour) and yet they still do it anyway, just do the studying on your own time, spaced repetition and all that
>>
>>82665686
As long as you pass it dont matter. I havent been since november last year

>lecturing is well known to be an ineffective teaching method
This shit pisses me off so much. I'm training to be a teacher and you see bad practices even on our fucking course, they do shit that we are explicitly told NOT to do.
>>
>>82666526
Yeah but Thats the case for everything, isnt it?
>training to be a teacher
Makes me wonder what youre doing on r9k, no offense. Was it a lifelong passion or something?

During my history BA, I had a mandatory Canadian history class every Friday morning. You couldn't get your degree without passing that class.

This is because I hated the idea of class on fridays and already knew a lot about Canadian history. I skipped every Canadian history class except for two, submitted my essays online, and really only showed up to the exam. I got an A in the class. It's fine imo. I just wanted the degree so I could move on with my life.

I just got a cushy government job that pays 80k a year. Had to go to grad school for it though

Because there's nowhere else for me on this fallen world, it just so happens that I'd also like to make life less horrible for the next generation of aimless, hopeless children and maybe even 4chan chudcels can make something of their worthless lives.

What grade group are you teaching? GL if it's middle school.

I teach adults, and yeah, I never really lecture much. I hate talking extensively anyways.

I don't teach north American kids because I suck at managing people. Adults are a lot better

Thats good, a far better way to cope than the usual nihilism/drugs/dopamine-heavy entertainment combo. I also have a strong affection towards children, I hope my experience will allow me to help any future losers in my family avoid this fate
>>

I'm not American but it'll be 11-16 years of age so yeah, nightmare group but I think it'll be fun. Hell, I think that a challenge and a good cause are food for the soul. Honestly I'm a bit of a sperg but I really think I'll find it easier to deal with children than adults. Maybe because I'm a sperg, actually. I'll be going into a classroom for the first time in late October.
>>82666768
Goddamn I was gonna write paragraphs of sperging out but I'd just seem like an incoherent, whining nutter so I won't. I'm glad you feel that way. Us outcast chuds are blessed in a way because we can have a unique, outside perspective on the world and society that a lot of people can really benefit from hearing, particularly the ones who are struggling if we've found our inner peace. We're the weirdos and losers who Jesus went to 2000 years ago, you dig?
>>
>>82666983
Yeah I agree with that perspective
