How do you cope with being 30 and seeing that your life is not getting any better, or growing towards anything, your jobs not getting any better, and that you have no drive to do anything to further yourself and you realize youre kinda waiting to die so because thst is at least and end and you can plan around that. Its the 50 or whatever years left of complete directionless is what makes you unhappy.

You have to make a change my man. To change your life you have to change your life

Just try something, anything different than your regular routine, and see if anything happens

35 here. 2020/covid year ruined my life, I basically have an addiction to not leaving my apartment and quarantine was like giving a year's supply of cocaine to an addict. This year I've been forcing myself to get out and try new things, but nothing's sticking. Just offering a perspective from someone who's doing exactly what you're describing and not finding much success.

I relate to you OP. There are things I want to do/make before I die, but I barely have the drive to brush my fucking teeth. Not sure what I'm gonna do. Even though it's not working out much for me, 9999's advice is good and you should still try new things. I hope you figure something out.

Try to find something you do enjoy doing. Maybe it's trying to learn an instrument, learning to draw or paint, going on walks, learning a language. It doesn't matter if you're good at any of that shit, but what matters is if it brings you any sort of joy and peace. An increase in drive may come after.

I'm a few months away.

My year's resolution was to grow up before I turned 30.

You and guys like you didn't take the time to mentally prepare yourself for maturation before you got to that age.

It's not too late. The longer you put it off, the more of your life you'll waste. Ask yourself how you'll feel about yourself 10 years from now looking back at what you could have been doing for yourself but chose not to.

Your start may not have been entirely your fault, but at 30 something years old there is no more excuses and only accountability. It's do or die.
