I've always wondered what actually gives a state its power? People might allude to power but state never has enough prisons or military members to fight on behalf of it. So isnt every govt from North Korea to British isles depend on cooperation of people? So why do people complain about their govts when their govt only gains power from their compliance? Is their a certain threshold where like 10% of population supporting govt is enough to rule country?
>>82669599I thought about this. Good question.I don't think it's a matter of compliance per se but more like fear of the consequences of non compliance.I don't think the question about how many prisons a given country has is much relevant: I think even in the case of a widespread rebellion that eventually gets quelled that wouldn't be as much of a concern as much as the disruption of the everyday life of the loyal citizens. I think that, as in the average pleb's lifestyle is the key point.
>>82669599Shit man even prisons dont have enough guards to control all of the prisoners. The answer is simple most people are nigger cattle
>>82669599Go out in public and listen to these massive fucking betas who need a sky daddy or gvt daddy. It's so goddamn embarrassing
>>82669635>fear of the consequences of non complianceSo cost benefit analysis which is why Weimar allowed for more radical parties since people already felt like they've lost everything. So as long as govt is able to keep people fed, happy and hope of a better future most people are willing to toe party line. Might be why 3rd world countries where govts aren't able to give out as much gibs resort to war crimes. Have any wealthy rich countries ever rebelled?>>82669661I honestly believe this been watching lot of prank videos and most people are too afraid or lazy to do anything.

Yep.>Have any wealthy rich countries ever rebelled?Does Libya count? From what I remember it used to be one of the best off countries in Africa before the revolution. But we have to keep in mind there were ((external factors)) at play in Libya.

America post 2008 isn't sane then with covid where we essentially printed 25% of current money in circulation within short time has caused a rise in inflation.
in seeking out a comfortable life, we become uncomfortable, whether by the means through which we had achieved it, or by the means through which we sustain it. in reality, there is no such thing as a comfortable life, merely one that distracts us well enough to forget the very nature of life, that it is wrought through suffering, and through our struggles, we may continue to keep suffering. i think that this isn't the end, as we can use our suffering and put a purpose behind it. not the kind that sees us endlessly striving towards some vague metric of success in the eyes of others, the spectators of which giving us the meaning by being awed in that which we have accomplished, but one in which we give the purpose to God. everybody is afraid of uncertainty, so we try and arrogantly take what we think can be ours, and make our lives certain, when the only certainty in this life is death. when we give up our striving, and hand it over to God, we let Him know that He is in charge, and give our faith in Him to take care of us, for better, and for worse. the suffering never ceases, but the calm comes to quiet the mind, knowing that we are being taken care of by Him, and not an uncertain mankind.not everyone is willing to give it all up in the service of His glory though, you can't blame others for not wanting to sacrifice what modicum of mediocre comfort they have which sustains them, but one must rise above the swathes of scum which coats a lake to let the sun cleanse him.
>>82669820>I wonder if decline of US post covid and US stock being propped up by AI boom has had an impact on polarizationI take that as I granted. What I wonder is the extent of the polarization and it's not exactly easy to gauge considering all of the other shit that happened in the meanwhile.
