I am good at finding patterns and connecting the metaphorical scraps of newsprint on a corkboard together would red string and make it a spiderweb that leads right to the killer. I can go days without sleeping or eating and nothing shakes me much anymore. I can detect things that even good detectives can't, the faces that form in the bumpy pattern on painted drywall, the conversations two people are having in a muffled enclosed space resonating back from the metal on a copper fan when it's on at night whirring. I can take four .22lrs to the chest back to back and walk away like I got punched by a teenager, I've even started practicing with .22 Win Mag rounds so I can hopefully get to the point where I can take a direct center-mass body shot from a 9mm and be able to look the shooter straight in the eyes and grin, only to reveal that I had no plates on whatsoever, because I'm not some exogenous armour-needing squishie when I could develop my own through intense training and biohacking for prodermal keratin plate development and selective muscular tensing.
