There's something truly freeing about pessimism. It's peaceful. I'm no longer burdened by delusional hopes, dreams, or aspirations. I simply exist.

After some time you will come to find that pessimism is also as burdening as optimism. It crushes your hope for the future and strips you of all purpose. You'll fail to see the point in doing anything and as the quality of your life declines rapidly, you'll do nothing to stop it. Everything will get worse for you and you'll find yourself so steeped in apathy that you will essentially allow the destruction to take place for no reason. You start to understand why you need your appetite once it disappears.

The real white pill is realism. See situations for what they are. No more, no less. Have some nuance. But that takes a level of emotional maturity most people don't attain until 30 so strap in.
