How much difference does the culture even really make especially to someone born after the advent of global Internet?Philippines is not as much of a backwoods mud hut country as you think, the big cities especially are just as modern as anglo countries with all the technology and amenities and dystopia that come with that, and anyone born after Y2K is more a citizen of the internet than whatever their home country is. People in the Philippines also speak fluent English unless they literally flunked out of primary school, and they've had access to Western media their entire life so it's going to be increasingly more difficult to find someone there who isn't affected by all this.People are people, everywhere. I don't see why there'd be any difference in this case. It's wishful thinking at best to assume that people from a different country would be better just because they're "different"
