You can learn or ask people smarter than you to explain things to you
I got filtered by most philosophy books and just asked someone smarter than me to give me pointers to see the abstract of things and it helped me alot about said books i wanted to read
I still struggle here and there but getting a helping hand have me a solid footing to build on

Adding to this there's not even true satisfaction to "knowing", because for every question that is answered 10 more arise. When the postulates/findings quantum mechanics and Hamiltonian classical mechanics finally 'clicked' for me I realized that I and humanity in general is more retarded than I can possibly think. How do you study something that changes every time you observe it? How do you make sense of data that mocks you and gazes back? Think about what science really is, science is not a system for finding truth, it is a system for annihilating ignorance/falsehood. And human ignorance is in (literally) infinite supply.

Anyways random schizo rant but knowing is a shitty goal and not fun anyways, learning is what matters.

Oh yeah fuckin' I find it funny to remember first time I did one of those tests. Lower end of average still counts as average after someone pressed him to hear the results.

There are a shit-ton of geniuses in academia who will spend their whole life teaching little shitheads difficult mathematics 90% of them will never actually use. It's not all it's cracked up to be. Unless you're world-changingly smart, nobody's going to give you a dime for being 170+ IQ. If anything they'll wonder why Dr. Smartypants isn't already rich.
