We should just legalize murder. Think about it for a little bit. If anybody could kill you at any moment for any reason at all without consequences (I mean I guess technically that's already possible but from a legal standpoint), like if anyone could kill you for even looking at them wrong, imagine how kind you would be all the time constantly. And even if you were constantly polite and nice and likable and agreeable 24/7, there's a small chance it wouldn't be enough. Someone could kill you anyway just cause they like killing. Imagine how grateful you'd be just to be alive on a day-to-day basis in a world like that. But you'd also be safer than you'd think because someone who kills for fun would generally be considered a threat that needs to be eliminated before they got to kill too many people. Anyone who is abnormally obsessed with killing would just...get killed themselves. All threats eliminated before they even become threats. It's a no loss situation.In a society where everybody is mutually, equally terrified of being killed for next to nothing, everyone would be maximally kind, considerate, courteous, and on their best behavior.
