Years back I came across this Korean porn translated in English whose translated title was "Banging my Aunt" and indeed the first chapter established that the thing you see on the cover is the protagonist's aunt, in that translation anyway.Now, I happen to have come across the Japanese translation and decided to re-read it after years in Japanese. I figured that maybe less would be lost in translation that way but it's actually hilarious how they suddenly all have Japanese names so it may not be the most faithful thing but here, the first chapter establishes not that this thing is the "younger sister" of the protagonist but that they are "close like sisters", so I first thought that this was hilarious censorship.But it occurs to me that the English translation except for that first chapter didn't actually in any way make it relevant that it's his "aunt". Yes, he addresses the character with "Aunt <name>" but that's super common for "friends of the family" in Japanese, Korean, and even English. The Japanese title also translates to "private lessons" and the Korean title when dumped into a translation engine translates to "dirty lessons" apparently.So is the entire incest and aunt thing that pissed off so many people actually just the Kr->En translator fucking up one line in the first chapter? Because that would be hilarious. Or is the Japanese version just censoring it out? At the very least I know for sure that the "Banging My Aunt" title is not what the original Korean title said.
