You know, eating liver of animals that are being fed all that candy and grains and all of the shit they shoot those animals up with, makes eating their livers actually pretty bad for you.

When you buy liver from normal grocery store meat, that animal was raised on corn, onions, old bakery waste, and even literal candy just to fatten it up cheap. On top of that, they get constant antibiotics, hormone shots, and vaccine cocktails. The liver ends up storing residues of all that, even if the FDA says it is within safe limits. So you are basically eating a detox organ from an animal that lived on trash.People think the solution is grass fed, but that label is almost meaningless. The USDA dropped its strict definition years ago, so now producers can call their beef grass fed even if it only ate grass for part of its life. Most grass fed cows are still grain finished for the last two or three months before slaughter to bulk up. That changes the fat composition, lowers nutrient density, and adds back the same junk the label made you think was avoided.If you actually want clean liver or beef, you need grass finished or 100 percent grass fed from a farm that keeps the animals on pasture their entire lives. That is rare and costs more, but it is the only way to get what the label pretends to mean. Otherwise you are just eating the same factory farmed junk in a different wrapper.
