If they had reacted at all maybe I wouldnt be so fucked up. They watched the decay unfold for years upon years from childhood into adulthood and did absolutely fucking nothing to adress it.
My mom is the type who would say something like "the real loser is the person who judges you" or some platitudinal bullshit like that and think now the problem is solved.

They used to resent the hell out of me and were constantly mad which made me feel incredibly guilty. Then one day they suddenly stopped and that somehow felt even worse. I guess they gave up and blame themselves at this point.

I don't think my mom thinks I'm a loser. The bar is very low around here and I have a full time job, that's enough. I don't even need a car because she thinks cars are mostly a waste of money, she can walk anywhere she wants to go or take a bus.

My dad gave up on me when I was like an 8 year old girl, he knew I would end up a chopped femcel and just dropped the rope. 0 boy advice, no I'm proud of yous, no how was school, just.... nothing. I tried to be a pickme for a while and appeal to him and his interests and he'd just give me dust. I'm his bio daughter bro just is mad I look like him with boobs instead of my cute mom
My mom well she kind of helped make me a loser she always talked me down, played devil's advocate, once latched onto my exbff in middle school and wished she were her daughter instead of me, made fun of me for getting sexually assaulted, let an adult man groom me as a teenager then laughed at me for getting cheated on, forced me to wear too baggy and ugly clothing
I never had a fuckin chance lol

My mom proactively destroyed any drive I had as a child. She refused to medicate my brother's schizophrenia until he's barely a human and now he lives as a sort of pet for her. She's probably hoping I'd end up the same.
