Is suicide potentially easier doing it with a handgun to the temple? I've tried shotgun in mouth but I haven't been able to. Wondering if being able to grit your teeth and sort of brace for it when using a handgun might make it easier, also knowing you will leave a more intact corpse is soothing somehow

That would just up your chances of slipping up and accidentally missing your brain stem, ending up either deformed or mentally disabled.

Idk if i were to do it I wouldn't even use a gun but in the event that im using one I would just point it directly at my forehead because for some reason I feel like if I did it sideways that it would some how miss my brain or something.

not quite actually, due to the temple having the most surface area to directly absorb the impact of the shot it would get messy.

No, have a nice video on that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ravRBgpSPxE
In short, faster bullet = good. Aim more for the brainstem, not your temple.

If you shoot yourself in the temple you might flinch and accidentally blow out your eyes and blind yourself instead, people have done that before
