I'm pretty sure schools do a bad job of teaching nutrition on purpose because it would destroy the economy
If they taught kids how nutrition actually works they would eat half as much, get abs, and stop buying addictive high margin corn syrup amalgamations

the curriculum is basically owned by the corporations. Of course they are gonna tell you to eat goyslop

By now its somewhat common knowledge that the food pyramid you probably recognize if you were in school during the past 30(?) years (I don't know if they've been phased out in the past few years or if they're still using them, I haven't set foot in a school since 2018) was deliberately lying and told you to eat way more carbs than anyone would reasonably need, and this was done so wheat producers could sell more product, and it worked.
This and that one story about the bogus scientific study funded by Coca-Cola are good examples of why "Trusting THE Science[tm]" is an idiotic way of thinking because it doesn't actually mean trust science, it means trust the scientists who, if given enough money, can be told to lie for the benefit of the person providing the bribe- I mean funding for a completely altruistic benefit to our understanding of science from an undisclosed private party.

Ever wondered why Box Tops that were put on the packaging of over processed slop from Big Food could be exchanged for funding from said Big Food corporations? You didn't think it was just out of generosity did you? They have to make sure they get a return on investment somehow, and they sure don't want to let a generation grow up and not keep buying their slop in bulk quantities, that would shrink their profit margins.

Why do you think the whole Got Milk campaign existed?

There is such a severe oversupply of milk that the stuff gets dumped by the truckload in many cases.

I envy the French whose children have a cooking class for lunch
