Thoughts on people who make fight club their entire personality?

>Something's wrong bro, I can feel it. Something's missing in my life. Society is suppressing me, I need to be violent bro.

What is wrong with them?

Fight club is a corporate movie that doesn't actually say anything controversial, at all. Face it.

The part where he makes the guy at the store go become a veterinarian (if i remember right) because it's his "dream", is as pro system as it gets. It should be that he makes wagies become NEETs.

No, you don't need to chimp out and be violent, the movie just says that as filler because they didn't want to give a real controversial message.

In fact, the whole point of the movie is to make NEETs look bad, in a way. Like "You're either a good wagie or you are like these guys". Well, no. I am a NEET and the first thing I do when I wake up is shower and wash my teeth, and no neighbor ever had a problem with me.

If people actually did there would be a lot less skyscrapers in new york

No but they never do anything. Someone who cares about a movie that much is by definition not going to do shit.
>>
>>82880871
you are stupid and didn't understand the movie and also don't understand why people like it.
people like it because brad pitt is hot. that's it.

I do this, I punch myself in the face and burn my skin with lye regularly.

I model my life after A Goofy Movie

>>82881010
the movie is fun and entertaining, but also corporate, safe, and not controversial. that's all. there's no revolutionary mesage in it, just ambiguous "society is domesticating you bro" or something

kek

i just like to fight thats all
>>
>>82880871
the movie has great acting and directing decisions with a good plot, thats it

Imagine taking life lessons from a movie, principally a mid one

ok but i mean people who believe in this movie unironically in the sense of making their personality about it

This, I only take lessons from the Star Wars prequel, mainly the lesson that jews are ontologically evil.

It's a good film and I like it.
I love the idea of being in a fight club, apart from the whole getting my already non-Chad face rearranged.
Project Mayhem seems much more based to me. The (((financial institutions))) really should be brought down. The film could not get much more controversial and get a release. Though it's almost a shame that Norton was diverted by some cunny and wanted to stop it.
That said, with the incel pandemic and globalism ripping all the jobs away from the West, many men are dropping out of society. It's the closest we can get to a revolution, seeing as the man is making it too 1984 to revolt openly and overthrow the bastards. The West cannot be saved until all globalists are hanging from lampposts as the traitors that they are.

>society is domesticating you bro
It's more than that, it's about how society and capitalism are systematically emasculating men, reducing them to castrated consumers who've lost purpose, and the solution to the problem isn't to revel in hyper masculinity (beating each other senseless for no reason) but tear down society in order to give man, the individual, back his identity/agency. It isn't even ambiguous, actually the movie (and the book) lays it on pretty thick

You can be in a fight club. Just sign up to some martial arts class, you will fight in a safe way, and learn with a teacher. I haven't signed up yet personally, but a friend has and he loves it. I think that makes more sense than the movie's dumb "society is bad bro" version.

>The film could not get much more controversial and get a release.

So you admit that it's not based because a corporate hollywood movie can't be based.

As far as I remember, it didn't even say anything substantial about financial institutions, which are already politically correct to criticize.

I liked it too. I watched it when I was very young, enjoyed it and thought about it for a while.

However, all of its messages are approved by financial institutions and the government. For example:

- chase your dream bro, become a veterinarian, otherwise i'll kill you. - this is fucking stupid, becoming a NEET is better. this is literally linkedin post tier.

- fuck work bro, fuck society, we'll do our own thing - they live miserably in a disgusting house. NEETs can do much better than that, but they don't want normies to know

- threatens his boss in an unhinged way in order to get a paycheck without working - this is not necessary, you can easily get welfare in easier ways, which they don't want normies to figure out. imagine if swarms of normies got on neetbux and quit working due to a movie kek. nah better give them something they'd never do because its insane.

Capitalism is not emasculating anyone: Men are taller and stronger than ever due to improved nutrition from developed industry.

Capitalism doesn't make anyone consume. You get paid and then you do what you want, and can also save up. The only thing you have to pay for is public spending.

"Society is emasculating us bro, we lost purpose bro" jfl what. These sound like the "complaints" of a middle class NT chad whose life is actually easy as fuck.

>tear down society in order to give man, the individual, back his identity/agency

They intentionally portray this in a way that is no problem for the system and no one would do. Imagine the chaos if they promoted NEETmaxxing. But they don't want the wagies doing that, instead they want the wagies to think the choice is between staying cattle or full unhinged.

Are you seriously trying to argue with ME about the point Palahniuk hoped to make when he wrote Fightclub? If you have a problem with the message, take it up with him, retard lol

>Capitalism is not emasculating anyone:
Someone didn't watch the movie or read the book. (Or, more likely, has a very low IQ and couldn't understand what was being said.)

if it's not a core part of your male identity it's over
it's been the quintessential male experience since the 2000's and it's still the same and relevant to this day

>What is wrong with them?
