What's your favorite movie robot? Have you seen Under the Silver Lake, it's good where are you? it's been a while I hope you're alive
Fantastic mr fox or Coraline or spirited away
it used to be the mission which has a fantastic soundtrack but merry christmas mr lawrence overtook it a few years ago. that has a great ost too
>>82882795The reason for this is because of nostalgia. My teatcher used to put on studio ghibli movies when i was like 7. Shit stuck with me so hard. Another one i hold dearly to my heart is The Tale of Princess Kaguya. It has to be one of the msot nostalgic movies for me.
>>82882795Spirited Away mildly disturbed me when I was a kid. I think because she got trapped and I hated that feeling.
>>82882742Hate Crime for edgy days and Hamburger Hill or Forbidden Planet for less edgy days.
>>82882838>Hate CrimeMuch edge, I might check it out when I get in the mood for that. If you like edgy shit you might like Angst from 1983. It's a little slow but it's my favorite serial killer movie and very well acted.
Probably Dr Strangelove. I've seen it lots of times and it's still really funny.
>>82882829It was creepy. gave me nightmares. So did coraline. But there is something about revisiting those movies. Makes me remember the smell of the playground. How the bare floor in my childhood home were cold. How me and my sisters loved that movie. It makes me remember playing uno with the senpai as a kid. That one brother of mine i havent seen in ages. How live was before we all moved away and stopped being kids. My sister used to borrow CDs from the local library. Thats how i ever found out about fantastic mr fox. I was obsessed. I fucking hate streaming I miss blue Ray
>>82882883It's only good because they say kike in it a lot it's not a great movie but it's the only one of it's kind that goes as far as it does.
>>82882898>correction: With my family. sorry
>>82882888Nice 8sStrangelove is a great film. I need to watch more Kubrick. Have you seen The Shining? I think that's probably my favorite Kubrick but it's hard to decide.
>>82882913I have and I need to watch it again. I need to watch more of his films at some point.
>>82882742The big lebowski only because I aspire to be the dude
>>82882901Oh, I thought you meant hyperviolence when you said edgy.
>>82882943Yeah that's what makes it edgy. I've never seen a good movie made about nazis, one where they're true to real life. They shove a kike into the oven literally in this movie it kicks ass but the movie in general isn't great.
>>82882898I miss VHS. Something very satisfying about slamming one of those into a player, having to rewind after watching. Even the terrible video quality had a sort of warmth to it but that's just nostalgia I think.
>>82882976I am now investing in them, as i am a goody 2shoes and dont want to pirate. I work at a recycling station, so a bunch of them end up here. Found Inglorious Bastards on blue ray the other day. Just need ot get a projector (To schizo to get something that is connected to the internet)
>>82883006Sir, you are currently connected to the internet. I get it though, I hate how connected everything is. My washer and dryer want to be on my wifi network it's so stupid. Internet of Things is such a security risk. I don't pirate either, too spooky. Physical media is really great. I used to have a decent DVD collection but I lost it in a move, really regret that.
>>82883051Yeah but ONE DAY i will move to the woods, or be a nomad. One day. I will make the tech myself, as i am studying physics. Fuck this fuckass industrial society.
>>82883193I've moved to the woods, or near the woods anyway, before. It was fine but it didn't change anything for me. You should look into Raspberry Pi or Arduino type stuff, you can do a lot with that while maintaining control over what's going on. I was going to make a solar powered, hygrometer activated water pump to pull from a pond into a garden once upon a time but I never got around to it.
My favorite Halloween movie: Trick 'r TreatSuper comfy and the segments are short enough to stay interesting
>>82883464Okay but why did he kill those retard kids? I mean I know the parents paid him or whatever but how much could they have paid him? I mean jeezus.
>>82883318Damn anon. Thats sick asf. I am not too knowledgeable on compsci but il get around. Thnx for the advice m8
>>82883539Maybe he just wanted to do it and the money was secondary, bus drivers don't get treated well by the kids they ferry around
>>82882742Aftersun, it's about a guy, a father who commits seppuko but you don't know that until the very last scene and it's not even shown, just heavily implied
>>82882742Rosemary's Baby is kino
>>82883697>jew neighbors pump a satan baby into a lady>jew neighbors are like hey lady stay with us and raise the anti christ >she does even though they're all old and she had a knife?lol
>>82883720If I were a foid and I had a satan baby in my gut I would also keep it. How cool would that be?
>>82883753But she wasn't cool with it and after she gave birth they kind of seemed willing to let her go free.
It's a nice source of cope, copeing around
>>82882742Moon was my favorite movie for 5 years
>>82883772Maybe she loved her little satan baby and didn't want to give it up? Strong maternal instincts can do a number on a woman
>>82883778I really like this one. It's such an odd movie and Whitaker is great in it.
>>82883794So why didn't she try to steal it and raise it to be normal?
>>82883903postpartum depression made her a dummy? maybe she just liked having all those people helping her raise the kid, it's a lot of work you know
>>82883779I always get Moon and the Solaris remake confused and I don't know why
>>82882934why do you want to be him? I want to be the angry friend he had
>>82882742Dinner In America is probably my favourite movie I have watched in the past few years. I have not seen Under the Silver Lake.
>>82885126>Dinner In AmericaThat director has such an insane body of work for how short it is. Bunny Game which looks amazingly bad in a good way, Snack Shack which was a decent generic comedy, and then Dinner in America which looks genuinely interesting. Oh and his newest movie has Samara Weaving in it, neat. Good pick anon. Under the Silver Lake is great if you like neo-noir, conspiracy type stuff with some dry humor thrown in. I liked it a bunch.
I don't know about favorite but Lost in Translation is definitely my comfort movie.
I'm alive please leave me alone . I liked talking to you but i don't deserve friends I would hurt you eventuallyA
>>82885335Do you think I've never been hurt before? It's fine, it's a risk I'm willing to take. Come back and talk, let me worry about me. I want to keep talking even if you hurt me.
>>82885335I really hope you change your mind. I'm not so naive as to think any of this will be easy. I really would like to hear from you again. You don't owe me anything but I would like to discuss this at least, or have a proper good bye if you're dead set on it. I don't want to make things difficult for you but I don't want to lose you either. You deserve good things whether you think so or not.
>>82885335If you change your mind I'll be around. I hope you change your mind.
>>82885758How can I reach you then
>>82885828You have my discord, don't you?
>>82885840ok sorry give me a moment
Adrift in Tokyo - something comfy about it. I think I just watched it at a strange time in my life where it resonated with me.Other than that probably Solaris (1972), as it hits the 2001 vibe while being less bombastic and more psychological/introspective.The Iron Giant or the Incredibles are my comfort movies that I will always watch if they are on. Gladiator used to be my favorite. 12 monkeys for doing my favorite type of time travel and slight mindfuckery.>>82883779This was an underrated gem that I loved for a long time. Was among my favorites.
>>82885910https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwgfeR2pMuEDid you ever watch The Signal? It had the same kind of psychological factor going on
>>82882742>What's your favorite movie robot?I'd have to say EVE. I like the sleek, simple, futuristic design and cuteness.
