>So, look. Mom asked me to give you some advice about middle school. It's real simple: don't talk to anyone, don't look at anyone, don't go anywhere, don't sit down, don't raise your hand, don't go to the bathroom, don't get noticed, don't choose the wrong locker...I used to think that line was funny as a kid, but a decade later I've come to realize he actually had a very good point. These days if you're an outcast you're expected to remain there forever, and I've seen so many people here try to "branch out" and "make connections" only to get pushed back hard.
>>82883415when I was 9 and watched it on cartoon network but my life is fucked so don't know if it worked
>>82883415No this is valid advice. I thought it would be different as an adult but I learned nothing changes. This is how to have a happy life as an outcast. Even if you were insanely talented it doesn't matter, they'll make some excuse to outcast you regardless. The best thing you can is accept your place and freedom/peace that comes with it.
>>82883415It's not good advice, hence why it was written to be a joke. I completely isolated myself throughout high school, and it didn't do anything but make me lonely. Actual good advice would have been to get a friend group through school clubs. I was semi friends with a 5ft awkward Indian who had a gf when I didn't, and it was because they were both in JROTC.
>>82883415almost sounds like a basic how to survive prison rulebook. hmmmm
>>82883822Both are compulsory so yeah...
