My response to the Anti-Fight Club OP (https://boards.4chan.org/r9k/thread/82880871):

Its fundamental critique is that people aren't leading fulfilling lives, and the way society is set up isn't conducive to fulfillment either. It urges people to take ownership of their own lives, thinking about what's actually meaningful to them. It drives this point home when the protagonist tries to create his own society, which is just as oppressive as the one he rejects. It says people need to take responsibility for their own lives, since the system will only leave them unfulfilled.

>The part where he makes the guy at the store go become a veterinarian (if i remember right) because it's his "dream", is as pro system as it gets. It should be that he makes wagies become NEETs.
This is retarded, but I recognize you're as likely to be a troll as a retard. Being a healer is needed in every society, and can be extremely fulfilling. You can succeed financially in the system as long as it aligns with your desires. And if you need autonomy, you can start your own veterinary practice.

>In fact, the whole point of the movie is to make NEETs look bad, in a way. Like "You're either a good wagie or you are like these guys". Well, no. I am a NEET and the first thing I do when I wake up is shower and wash my teeth, and no neighbor ever had a problem with me.
You're actually a victim of the system more than anyone. You're a quiet little loser who's afraid to make waves because you don't want to upset anyone. Instead of doing something fulfilling with your life, you hide from life.
