I know my way around people on the higher end of the spectrum. But I prefer to avoid the circumstances that lead me to be in their presence as I am in no way a professional. My go-to strat is to humor their quirks as long as its not harmful and within reason. If my date had this sort of thing going on with her I would find a way to work around that

I don't think that's a big problem. I would just scrub them down with a degreaser, then wipe them down with some of my gun oil litghtly afterward it'd be nice to have someone with a consistent gage of this is too oily. Give me an excuse to clean my guns too, and their too oily opinion is probably how much less you should use on plastic parts.
