Anyone else feel like the internet's the main cause of accelerationism?

I'm not speaking purely in a sense of, the world feels like its going down the shitter faster than ever but like in every aspect. Knowledge being one of 'em.

I feel like the Interne is this one giant combo of the Library of Alexandria and the Tower of Babel and maybe the human mind isn't ready for that much knowledge.
I feel like the things we should've figured out in our 50's and 60's, we've figured out in our 20's and 30's. iykyk.

What are your thoughts, robots?

Yeah, sounds about right.
Intelligence is mostly useless for a lifeform's survival, it's either a waste of resources (brains need lots of calories) before it even evolves to be useful, or, as we're seeing, we can juice it with technology to achieve absurdly self-destructive levels of societal complexity.

I feel like it's making a huge chunk of the world undergo psychosis

I watched a thing once where it said, "If you're not depressed in this day and age, you're not normal, because only the depressed know what's wrong"

Maybe it's a different way of looking at the same thing, but I think it's simpler: we evolved with innate behaviours and desires that WERE very useful.
> You must acquire more calories.
> SUGAR IS FUCKING DELICIOUS
> HFCS is invented to satisfy this craving with minimal economic effort.

The internet is doing this to our minds, like the industrial revolution did it to our bodies.

I feel this way when I see gen alpha taking the black pill already. We weren't supposed to have concrete evidence on how shit life and human beings (especially women) are this early in our lives.

Free access to information mean intelligent people are going to be able to compare notes OP, and figure out who's behind things
