Modern human history is like, 150,000 years old, with primitive humans going back further than that. If any events in the foundational texts of the religions of this age are true, then it is in conflict with any reliable instruments of modern science.Like (just follow me) we find human skeletons hundreds of thousands of years old across the globe -- skeletons that factually predate the invention of Abrahamic religion and its 2-person Eden story. Instead of just two foundational human fossils found in some spot near the red sea, we get all sorts of hominids across the globe, well before the jews had even begun to be persecuted.And like, further, I'm willing to accept we don't know what caused the big bang, or what was before that. We're trying to figure it out, but even to me the theories seem like science fiction. Regardless, assuming it WAS a deity that crafted the universe and Earth as well... how the fuck do we know which one it is? There have been thousands of religions in human history. We'd have no way of reliably knowing.There are other reasons, but I'd say I do not be-leaf in a god because it does not make sense historically, scientifically, or logically.
