Why is it okay to manipulate people into spending their money on irrational purchases by exploiting their psychology? Just think about ads for a moment. Its a ridiculous concept. Constantly being told what to do. Its just so weird. Do you guys know what I mean? I feel like I cant properly explain it but you guys get me, right?
>>82891108Is this how you felt while writing this? Anyway, I agree. Advertisements make people a lot of fucking money evidently, yet you and me have not seen one cent come our way. Crazy right?
>>82891108Skill issue. Also, ad blocker.
i find it more absurd that they spend as much money as they do on ads. theres no way anyone actually pays attention to this shit right. theres no way theyre getting customers out of this shit right. everyone just does something else while they run or if it's a streaming service they wait until they can skip it
>>82891108Humans are stupid animals and it's legal because the people making money are in charge.Marketing usually is done with the subtlety of a mace, to the point that it actively loses value the moment I see a commercial for anything. Yes, congratulations on getting your name out there, it's dirt now.
>>82891243They actually do make money off it. You don't need to pay attention for your brain to ingest their brand logo, jingle, etc. All they're doing is building recognition subconsciously. This involves some psychological stuff I don't want to go too into except to say you recognize things you've seen before without realizing it and you like the things you recognize more. It matters when you're choosing a restaurant, new laptop, car, in the shopping aisle etc
>>82891108The world revolves around advertisement, the best you can do right now is a pi hole or Firefox+ublock origin
