No, I remember wanting to play WoW back in the day, but being unable to because you had to pay for a subscription and my parents couldn't even grasp the concept of the weird machine eating up money to play a game. Now that I think about it, we didn't start ordering/buying stuff online at all, until I decided to break the retarded taboo six years ago.

Nowadays I know there's free private servers that emulate the vanilla experience and what not, but I can't be bothered to try it.

It just looked so vast and had this intriguing vibe to it for me. I enjoyed the art style, I even had some sort of huge manual explaining everything about the game, because they bought me a box with a physical copy. It just felt like peak comfy fantasy game experience at the time. Also my cousin was playing it, so that helped me want to play it even more.

nowadays i'm considering fuckin' doing it again but playing a more casual one instead just so i can have some semblance of social life outside of work (which is all purely professional)
