I don't trust any of them. There's meds that are good and actually solve problems. For example if my father didn't take his meds for his seizures then he would have seizures. I just don't think meds for anxiety or depression work unless you have some genuine chemical imbalance that is genetic or something. It's used in treatment of depression, adhd and nicotine addiction. For me, it makes me go from sleeping 11 hours a day to 7-8. Instead of waking up tired and having to be forced out of bed, I actually have energy and feel a desire to do things. And I don't feel a need to go back to bed after a few hours. For me, apathy is like gravity always keeping me down, always directing me to bed. Bupropion, to an extent, fixes that. Also makes me more competitive and assertive. And no side effects. I heard it compared to methyphenidate, but for me it's a completely different feeling. Methylphenidate is closer to amphetamine, it gives a noticible high, while bupropion is like having a cup of coffee- forever.

I don't like bupropion because it fucks with a lot of drug metabolizers, notably CYP2D6. Same issue with fluoxetine except it dropped me to 130lbs@6'4. Using an antihistamine for anxiety is interesting, I'm personally on clonazepam instead. Vitamin D is important especially for mood.
Oh yeah don't abuse bupropion either I thought it would be fun but it just gave me bad seizures instead lmoa

I'm prescribed hydroxyzine, it never seems to do shit for me. High doses of DPH e.g., 150mg-300mg (while very unhealthy) seems to work much better at relieving anxiety.

A lot of drugs are metabolized by cyp2d6 specifically, but overall both of them inhibit your cyp450 enzymes, which are much broader
some examples include lsd and morphine, that specific enzyme is responsible for about 20% of all prescribed medicine working.

Literally all psychoactive medications change your brain. It's not necessarily a bad thing. And if you're needing these drugs in the first place, your brain is already fucked up. Benzos are unnecessarily targeted when they're quite helpful when used correctly and for people who actually need them. Also, even if you refrain from taking any medication, long-term untreated anxiety is even worse as constantly having stress and anxiety taxes both your brain and your body both, and can lead to a host of long term health issues.
So pick your poison.

I've been treating my depression for years, bupropion works against my apathy, but I've also been getting your standard ssri, snri etc., and they make the positive experiences stronger- which i dont need- what I need is to make the negative stimuli weaker, as I am wrecked by despair, stress, panic etc. I used pregabalin (my sis gave me) and it worked wonders, but I hear you can't take it every day? What drugs could make the negative stimuli more bearable so I could find a job and not be on the verge of tears, feel needles in my stomach and hands shaking all the time at work?
