So how do I learn to speak to people exactly? I've been isolated for the past 6 years, and before then I only had 1 friend who was also very quiet.

Good question. What helped me was starting to speak simple things: "Good morning, how are you?" "This sunny weather is pretty nice, isn't it?" [I prefer a cloudy weather].

Where? Most things are for teenagers or retired people. Places like bars actively discourage you from talking to the other patrons these days.

Realize that you dont actually need to say words to have a conversation. You can just kind of grunt at people and most of your meaning will still be applied. Normally people do with by talking about irrelevant things to convey feelings and thoughts.
