>>82896504I know you're being sarcastic but it's true. When therapy is recommended for low empathy people it's to help them develop cognitive empathy which is a skill. There's a genetic basis for low empathy people and no one thinks that it's always caused by trauma or can be worked through at all. Antisocial personality disorder is not curable and no one says otherwise, same for NPD etc.

That said, there are some gene variants that have been linked to psychopathic tendencies and the like. The MAOA gene has some variants that can cause things like Bruner Syndrome( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brunner_syndrome ) and other variants are linked to impulsive and violent behavior.
