Death is the end. You will never experience life again, a 1,000 years, a 1,000,000 years, a 1,000,000,000 years, an eternal curse of stasis where you live for about 100 years, then you cease to be. How do you cope with this? It almost makes life itself look like a sick joke.
>>
>>82914434
I am still coping by telling myself there is something more to life and death but if not, then it is probably best not to dwell on it because it's unavoidable.
>>
>>82914434
Well I found out who my love belongs to and in 6 months I have figured out that these 100 years will never fix any bridge between us
If connection to another living soul is what I crave, then it is ironically death that will really resolve our issues

>How do you cope with this?
I play make believe with the ideas of a Romanized Hebrew death cult for slaves. A wizard told them they would live forever and I want to do that too, so I imagine it all day long.

As long as my last conscious moment is imagining myself in an immortal paradise it won't matter if I cease to exist because I can't possibly experience such a state. As far as I know, I will have reached eternal bliss no matter the outcome.
>>
>>82914434
why would non-existence be a curse?
>>
>>82914434
>How do you cope with this?
What do you mean "cope" that sounds fucking awesome, I miss the good old days before I was born when I didn't exist.
>>
>>82914434
How come when I've done satanic invokations some weird shit has happened, or when I ask Jesus for help I stopped being tormented?

Kiddo it's called absurdism you're not the first dipshit to realize life is ridiculous and stupid. Just survive and amuse yourself to pass the time. There's literally nothing else to do, besides raise children or suffer women. Your insignificant life will be over before you know it. Life goes by very quickly past 30.
>>
>>82914434
nothingness doesn't exist because if it did it would be something lmao
>>
na ive been to the other side
your body will die but your soul lives forever
>>
crazy how im not going to exist for infinity amount of years and the 80 years or so i do exist and im a gay tranny
>>
>>82915104
and to think there was a time when the average lifespan was 20 something.
>>
what makes the time after death different from the time before birth?

Life

>>82915576
but you're not alive in either state
>>
>>82915585
And you won't be. Forever. Can you grasp how terrifying of an aspect it can be? It's worse than being in hell, at least you EXIST.
>>
>>82915618
but I wasn't alive before I was born too
in fact the state of not being alive before birth is exactly the same as the state of not being alive after death
>>
>>82915618
Why is that terrifying? I've already not existed before being born, wasn't too bad. Would certainly pick it over hell.
>>
>>82915618
>isn't a state where you can't feel anything scary?
It's the least scary thing that we can conceptualize.

Being alive on a planet filled with bears, parasites, and rapists should scare you a billion times more than literally being immune to all problems. Existence is a freak novelty state brought on because some protein strands decided to self-replicate 2 billion years ago, enjoy it for a little bit then go back to normal.
>>
>>82915527
No, the average lifespan was 20 because babies dying so often brought the average lifespan down but if you were lucky enough to make it to 20, you'd live til old age too. Human lifespans have not changed much outside of preventing baby and child deaths.

You clearly don't understand. If you think non-existence isn't terrifying, then kill yourselves right fucking now, you can't, because you WANT TO LIVE AND HAVE THINGS YOU WANT TO LIVE FOR
>inb4 muh instincts
not an excuse, pussy
>>
>>82915806
if nonexistence is so bad how come babies cry when they're born instead of being happy
>>
>>82915647
>wasn't too bad

And how would you know? You can't experience non-existence by pure definition.
>>
>>82915806
This, people who say concepts like heaven would be awful are genuinely retarded.
>>
>>82915806
People dont kill themselves because they feel horrific pain before completing it. If I couldnt feel pain Id slice my carotid artery open and cease to exist in less than a minute
>>
>>82915549
There is no time at all, assuming reincarnation is real it will feel like an instant when you wake up as a fetus in some bitchs womb
>>
It took 13.8 billion years of non-existence for me to finally come into existence. I will exist for about a century and then go back into that non-existence, i.e. the same state which led to my eventual coming into existence. If it happened once, why couldn't it happen again? We still have some 100 trillion years before the last stars burn out and longer still before the final heat death of the universe, plenty of time to be incarnated many times over, assuming a 13.8 billion years is a typical waiting time.
>>
>>82916220
>It took 13.8 billion years of non-existence for me to finally come into existence
And how do you know that this has been the first time you existed?
>>
>all this moralfagging about how life is so special so im forced to enjoy it
i didnt ask to be born. not that im suicidal and hate my life, but im just going to do what i want and feel how i want about it. yes, life is objectively very special and statistically low for you to have been summoned but humans dont perceive existence that way, i dont care what happened a billion years ago and i dont care what happens a billion years in the future, and i dont meticulously count all the sperm cells that i beat in the race and act super humble for me being chosen. i dont really care and i dont think anyone should be forced to care
>>
>>82914434
Imagine the book of your life. And like any other book, it has a beginning, a middle part, and an end. It's not your concern what happens outside that book.
>>

Oh please, I really hope that is the case
>>
>>82915806
No one said dying isn't terrifying. That shit will put your brain in freak out mode and you'll panic like a fly caught in a spider web.

Dying fucking sucks, plus I might have more stuff I want to do. Being already dead is nothing. You can't experience it.
>>
>>82914434
i just wait, if it comes it comes. Its terrifying but I cant do much other than trying to leave a legacy. (and hoping immortality or knowledge about death is reached soon)

Death is merely dis-integration, a form of amnesia. You will reintegrate.
Death = Amnesia
Amnesia = Death
>>

Please let OP be correct holy fuck please please please I don't want to do this shit again.
>>
>>82914434
>Death is the end
Oh thank god.
It's terrifying, but to no longer have to deal with the worse, for my mind to return to null and never experience again, there's a cold comfort after a life of discomfort. To no longer have to deal with (You)
Of course, it's the biggest gamble, since it could be nothing or 100 flavors of hell.
>>
>>82914434
1.) You should be glad about that. You wouldn't wanna live even 150 years, let alone a thousand or more.
2.) We don't even really know if that's true from a scientific standpoint. It's not impossible that sometime in the future, billions and billions of years from now, perhaps trillions, atoms, molecules and cells may coincidentally form in the exact sequence that enabled the existence of your consciousness this time, and there's no evidence that this hasn't happened already. You have no way of knowing for sure that you have not already lived before, ages ago, in some other part of the universe, as some other unfathomable creature, orbiting around some other anonymous star, perhaps doing nothing but feeding on various smaller organisms...or perhaps you were a far more intelligent being than you are now. Perhaps you were some sort of alien that figured out how to send messages across galaxies at light speed, and perhaps those messages may reach you in this lifetime, just as you anticipated in the last. I could be you from a trillion years ago for all you know. You don't know shit.

>>82914434
Unironically acceptance. Wanting good things and peace all the time is a negative loop but that doesn't mean it's worthless either. If nothing matters why not be good? Whatever good means is kinda up to you though. Death is finally peace your pain ends. If there's something after then we will have to just wait and see. I think people that want to die are ultimately seeking peace but it's not the right solution all the time.
>>
>>82914434
I'm always uncomfortable with people who genuinely belive this.
>>
>>82915806
You don't have to want to die to think non-existence isn't terrifying. You literally non-existed for all the time in the world before you were born, and you're fine. Doesn't mean you should want to die.
>>
>>82917623
Yawn, y'all truly don't know what you have
>>
Existence ending is sad. It is largely terrifying because of the biological aspect of aging, illness, and death. If we could simply cease to exist when our minds are weary of life, there would likely be no fear associated.
>>
>>82914434
>How do you cope with this?
why should I care how would I be when I won't be at all?
>>
>>82914434
>then you cease to be.
And you know this for certain?
>>
>>82914434
it fills me with joy
this planet had so much potential, but it is infested with worthless two-faced, backstabbing, greedy, selfish vermin
once i die, they will lose a slave, a blood bag, and eventually they will starve to death
>>
>>82914434
thats ok, I don't wanna live another life of insecurity, humiliation and envy.
>>
You won't have a brain anymore to care about it, just like you didn't care fir all that time before you were born.
>>
>>82919457
