i uhh went to a mini anime con thing today. i got a bunch of chainsaw man stuff and an ame thing for my wall. i tried some polish alcohol (because the con was held at a polish club?) and some attack on titan beer and eel and ramen. i engaged in drinking conversation and some guys invited me to ramen and alcohol after so i went and drank and ate with strangers. very very awesome day for ame-nona

I have to go to school tomorrow and I hate it. I hate spending upwards of 12 hours a week just travelling. I hate being so pathetic because I used to have so much potential, but now I'm barely passing. I hate not having any close friends to talk with all day. I hate my family. Nah, probably not. Cleaning fossils and everything isn't to my liking. I like pondering and solving problems, but most of what paleontology entails is evidence gathering with just the cherry on top of trying to make it all make sense. Speaking of the end Permian though, here's a weird not-shark shark from that period, Helicoprion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicoprion

They're found largely from their tooth whorls, which you can see part of protruding in their bottom jaw. Some of the original reconstructions have them drawn like some silly curled-jaw critter. Although these particular guys didn't make it to the end of the Permian, they died out before that from what I remember.

To the center of the Earth! The not-shark shark won't eat you either. I think I remember it being the case that their tooth whorl was an adaptation for eating shellfish(being durophagus). The teeth sort of worked on a little conveyor belt. If that sounds odd, elephants actually do something similar but without it being a whorl of teeth. Elephant molars sort of shift forward over the course of their life, replacing the most worn ones in the front. They only make a limited set of molars though, which limits their lifespan.

Yeah they're always confusing at first, but you figure it out fairly quickly if you live in a place that has lots of roundabout like where I am.

To get to the store I have to go through three of them in a row. North of me there's two more. I think another town has two... One town has like four different ones... Milwaukee has the only dangerous one I know of since people seem to regularly go through it doing 40 and demolish their car's suspension.

anon, i know you're itching for me to talk to you but my mind doesn't work with broad things like that, as i said there are lore points in the game and i can tell you about those but lol...
lore is one of the least important things in the game, the builds are what really matter and they're wacky often times

fun fact, if you place a gas vent om the floor and if it has some liquid in front of it, not enough to block it (2kg for normal vents, 20kg for high pressure vents), it turns into an infinite gas storage?
and gas does no damage to tiles, but liquids do, except liquids somehow don't cause pressure damage to doors or airflow tiles
a lot of geyser tamers work based on that, they just let the geyser run and have its output flow down into an infinite liquid storage and stash it for later
i'm gonna tame some polluted water geysers that way, in fact
the salt water ones too but those output at 95c so that's... a bit more difficult to handle, the polluted water ones output at 30c but the water is germy, but we have plenty of chlorine to kill them off
fun fact #2, if you place water inside a liquid reservoir and this reservoir is in a room full of chlorine gas, the germs in the water die off too

After visiting multiple stores I managed to find a copy of the game I wanted for a decent price. The cover is a little faded and the cartridge region is mismatched but I don't really care enough to be disappointed when a new copy was $100 more and these things are region-free.

Yeah. One of my dreams that I remember involves two kinds of worms by the chicken coop. A white variety and the regular ol' earthworms. I never really spot any worms here though, which is odd. it's cassava starch mixed in with cooking oil or lard basically, usually people add tiny bacon cubes to it as well but some also add sliced bananas

I'm sure there's a different name for it, but that's what Google is telling me. Also I'd love to try other kinds of bananas sometime, or even just plain plantains. One day, for sure. I do love my banana candies too, but the chemical they use to flavor them is so sparse in actual bananas.

Cuban coffee is basically half a pot(or god forbid a whole fucking pot) of coffee concentrated down to a less than a full gulp's worth of fluid. It's basically just a quick fix for caffeine. This is but one portion of what makes Floridians a bit crazy, as cuban coffee isn't super popular here B^).

i'm considering just napping for an hour and half after i get home everyday to compensate...
today i had a dream that i ended up in the wrong part of town, inside what looked to be like a public bathroom or something, and there was this gang of criminal girls just rounding people around and taking them away to god knows where
they were the scary kind, armed to the teeth and rude as all fuck, unremarkable appearance-wise, and they were checking people's food/meal tickets to see where they came from
they were surprised mine wasn't anything like the others and were able to tell i wasn't from there, so they let me go "that one time", lol
i did not envy the others, they looked like they were being taken away to be killed off... but as soon as i walked the hell out of there, i woke up
