Do any other oldfags have this daydream where you think about how you'll buy various video games and spend all day playing them (either on the weekends or after work or during holidays) but you know it's never going to happen because it would involve you enjoying stuff for long periods of time without the fear of being unproductive?

Or you know that it would be trying to feel like a child again with zero cares (though it's ironic, I don't really have major cares)?

There are obviously also feelings of patheticness but it's not quite that which stops me. There's this idea of stillness to everything else that I get while enjoying myself, and I know that feeling is fraudulent.

I have this all day and every day. I am not even safe when I read.

I play idle games because I get the feeling of levellingbup and making progress, but I don't have to spend hours playing in a session. Just 15 minutes a day, which is the most I can do while avoiding that unproductive feeling.

I already have various video games. I don't need more

Same, Genshin Impact is perfect for this. Never a less likely game for me to play.
