I cannot fucking deal with my tinnitus anymore
it never fucking stops
i can't enjoy silence
i can't relax
i want to fucking kill myself
>>
were u near a big explosion
>>
Had a bout of tinnitus for the first (and so far only) time a couple of months ago. I thought I was going to have to kill myself. Luckily the tapping on the back on the head thing made it go away for me.

See a doctor, dumbass
>>

I've gotten used to it. Just keep waterfall/rain sounds playing. I don't notice it at all outdoors now, it's only irritating when I don't have sounds playing indoors.
>>
Sorry to hear that, my dad has tinnitus. Eventually you will probably get used to it, humans can get used to anything
>>
>>82945482
I literally went to the urgent care the day my ears got blown out by the loud noise and I literally told the doctor exactly what I needed that I read online could avoid permanent tinnitus but had to be done ASAP and he said
>just wait it out lol
and I got a recommendation for an ENT I couldn't fucking see for over a month
now my ears are ringing so bad I keep popping my ears and pulling on them trying to make it stop and I just want to fucking blow my brains out
>>
>>82945447
I got into meditation to get rid of it, and it worked for me (you have to single point focus on the noise with no distractions for a long time (at least at first) if you do it for years (like me) you can pretty much negate the "errrrrrrr" noise within 30 seconds just puting your normal focus on it (again that takes years tho).

What's the immediate tinnitus treatment?
>>
>>82945447
Have you tried the reddit skull-base-press?

>>

prednisone immediately after the event but it has to be ASAP
I literally told the doctor this and he pretended to go look up shit for a bit and came back and said uhhhh that isn't given until you get a hearing test here's a recommendation for an ENT that you can't see for over a month after permanent damage already settled in lol
I fucking hate being alive
>>
>>82945789
>uhhhh that isn't given until you get a hearing test here's a recommendation
Why would a peasant like YOU get good medical treatment. If you were a rich hollywood star or senator they'd instantly do it, but you're not. WTF do you think this is? A Democracy lol? Know your place.

Put your palm over your ears, drum the back of your head with your fingers, and it should give you momentary relief. It aligns your little hairs properly.
>>
>>82945447
funny you mention that, i was just listening to a song called "tinnitus dance"
good shit, it exacerbates my tinnitus so the name fits

in my experience, listening to white or brown noise helps, but make it soft
do you use headphones a lot?
>>
>>82946153
this works for literally less than 10 seconds

Doesn't basically everyone have tinnitus? Just have a fan on while you sleep or listen to ASMR.
>>
>>82946174
hence the word momentary
>>
>>82945556
>the urgent care
you could try a different urgent care (or go to the ER if you're rich)
>>
>>82946250
going to multiple urgent cares would be embarrassing and weird
>>
Sometimes when I get too high, mine sounds like steam coming from some horrible would be fear of something possibly blowing up. Becomes fun after awhile. I almost get a rush if I have a half paranoid sequential psychobilly freakout. I got stuck the other day.... I was so scared I thought nuclear bombs were gonna come crashing through the concrete, Do I still get high? Fuck yeah I do robots. fuck yeah I do

It's bad enough that you're thinking about suicide. I really don't think you should be worried about embarrassment. Not to demean you, but here's a copy paste from AI:

Actionable Steps You Can Take NOW
Do Not Wait for the ENT Appointment: Call the ENT's office (or several other ENT offices) immediately. Explain the gravity and urgency of your situation.

Say: "I have acute, severe tinnitus and suspected acoustic trauma from a loud noise incident that occurred on [Date]. I was denied time-sensitive treatment at urgent care. I am requesting a cancelation spot, a same-day sick appointment, or an emergency appointment, as I need to be evaluated for steroid treatment ASAP. The delay is causing severe distress."

Go to a Different Urgent Care or Emergency Department (ED): If you are truly in severe distress, a different ED or urgent care might be more willing to prescribe oral steroids for the potential sudden hearing loss component, as it's a relatively low-risk medication given the potential benefit. Be assertive and mention the words: "Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSNHL) from acoustic trauma" and your need for a course of oral corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone).

Contact Your Primary Care Physician (PCP): If you have a regular PCP, call them immediately. They are sometimes willing to prescribe the initial oral steroid course while you wait for the specialist.

the incident was already a month ago, it's too late
I already had to make multiple phonecalls and wrangle out referrals just to get an appointment and no one I talked to ever talked to each other and were all extremely unhelpful
the medical system is a web of complete bullshit that makes getting actual help impossible and I'm an anxiety riddled autist that can't even handle talking on the phone in the first place
>>
>>82946304
>>82946322
also I don't even have a PCP anymore because mine quit, after I spent weeks picking him out specifically for multiple reasons and then boom he's just gone from the fucking network with like a week's notice
>>
>>82945482
doctors can't do shit about it
>>82945447
try reduce earwax that can help
>>
>>82946234
almost everyone does have some tinnitus in complete silence, yes
i wish more research was done about it instead of wasting trillions on obesity medication when the cure is simple as fuck
