Anyone else having trouble finding a job? Do I call them or keep applying at same place

Graduated last year plz help me anons. My mom keeps abusing me and calls me a loser since I can't get a job. I have compsci degree with internships at a bank 2 years ago. No one is hiring

no one needs us we are dead

according to boomer news, there is a great hiring freeze or something going on. people aren't firing or hiring.
>>
Job searching is hard and demoralizing, but you have to keep trying. I've had a steady job for a while now, but I remember how brutal the search is.

I ran out of places to apply to :0 I can't apply anymore

Same. No jobs. Parents don't understand it at all, tell me to keep applying. Fucking Target rejected me from a cashier position, what am I supposed to do here? I actually know how to create software too I'm not some vibe coder with no handmade projects. And yes I know how to vibe code as well I'm not a luddite.

Good. I hope we hear more of these stories and this capitalist shithole of greed we call America collapses into something better for the common man. No pussy, no work.

USAnon here, I just spammed my CV on indeed and kept applying to any available job until I finally had my CV read by a dude from a staffing agency forwarded that to a company where I then landed an interview. I think I had around 300 applications sent until i managed to land a job in late 2023. I was a neet when I graduated college in 2022.

Granted, my job is shit and there's 0 upward mobility but at least it's a WfH office job. Essentiall the job market has been shit and it won't get better.

That's 2023 things have changed anon they barely hire new developers plus competition is tough.

People aren't hiring right now, I had to fill out 258 applications for 6 months straight (some position were radically beyond what I majored in) and got about 30 of those Q&A recording assignments. Of those 30, 15 reached out for interviews, five gave me a second interview, and three gave me a third interview. I only got one job offer by extreme luck. Feel really bad for the compsci guys rn, I was lucky enough to be too retarded with computers to bother majoring in compsci and it saved me from the unemployment limbo that all the ones I know are stuck in rn.

The Boomer response would be:
>you just have to keep trying and show them you're dedicated
When in reality, people are using AI to fill out applications/resumes, and job """makers""" are using AI to reject applications/resumes by the thousands in minutes. I have a job, so I'm telling you: you might have to end up settling for a warehouse job, as bullshit as it sounds. That, or the Space Force.

>>82947144
Oh they're definitely firing right now.
>Amazon: about 30,000
>UPS: about 40,000
All in a mad dash to AI.

Why not kill my self then

It sucks, especially with the weather getting colder (the last two days were a significant cold snap, and will continue until Friday), but the pay makes it worth sticking around. 8 Years at this job, and I always hated myself for not having majored STEM and gone the Comp Sci route as you; I could've had a nice office job making more than 80K a year without busting my ass (and rib-cage) in a dusty warehouse, among other things. But then, COVID happened, and everyone shat the bed anyway, yet I've managed to keep this job, in spite of many other people losing theirs (even people who DO NOT like me at this job). So, it's just a matter of finding purpose in the suffering.

I talked to the HR person about moving to another department and she said I should talk to Manager. Manager said they were busy and to come back on Tuesday. Today I found him and asked if he had time, again he does not, he's too busy. I asked if he wanted help and he laughed derisively and said no.

Maybe im boomer-brained but at least $14/hr is a decent amount

who knows, doesn't school prepare you for life?

If I was young again I would join the military. It's not all being sent off to war and shit, there are other desk jobs they would probably have you do computer stuff. You could become a glowie and join the FBI

Always; back when I was forced to look for one. Jobs I could not do, for employers who do not want me. I knew it was completely hopeless, as an autist, to get work in this gutted globalist economy. I'd rather do five things well, than twenty things badly. Guess what jobs require now. Thankfully, the 'bux cunts finally put me on the shelf from appointments after 16 years, and I haven't had to bother to look for work for a long while. Hopefully, never again.
