I joined the navy at 28. Did it for 10ish years. About to get out cause it fucking sucks. Glad I did it though. Have a bunch of career prospects, advanced pretty fast, saw some cool shit. On the other hand I joined the only branch that really works and deploys the most. Worked something like 110 hour work weeks on the ship in port. Was deployed for a year straight during covid. Averaged 290 days underway a year or something the whole time I was there. Gained some light trauma and fucked up my back and joints and stuff. It may or may not be worth it to you. If you can get an eternal shore rate the navy is cake. If you go to a ship, just know you are gonna work your fucking ass off. If you have nothing though the navy basically forces you to learn some form of social skills. There's ALOT of autists in the navy. There was a pretty big dnd group and a magic group that played underway.
