Happy Halloween anons! Is anyone here doing anything today?
>>

Gonna be watching lots of stuff, some horror movies included, and drinking some old mead I brewed. What about you, OP?

I'm going to be watching the movie Monster House later tonight. I haven't seen it since I was a kid so it'll be fun. Are you going to be doing a day long marathon of movies or just at night?
>mead
I don't drink alcohol but from what google is telling me, it has honey in it so it sounds pretty good.
>>
>>82967619
Oh man, that film is ooold. I remember it as a kid, so I guess we're about the same age. Since I'm a NEET I can do the whole day(night, really since I'm asleep during the day) I'm awake. Mead is actually made with honey, it's thought to be one of the first alcoholic beverages because it can be made by accident really easily. I don't usually drink alcohol either though, it doesn't really do anything for me. I do want to get back into brewing to use the booze for cooking and the yeast leftovers as well. How've you been though?

>I remember it as a kid, so I guess we're about the same age.
I'm only 4 years older than the movie so if you're around that age that's pretty cool. Do you remember the Scary Godmother movies too?
Going all day(night) sounds really fun and yeah it looks like old humans could really find it randomly since all the things required aren't insanely unlikely from happening in nature.
>I don't usually drink alcohol either though, it doesn't really do anything for me.
Keeping it at occasional use is good.
>I do want to get back into brewing to use the booze for cooking and the yeast leftovers as well.
I didn't ask before, but are you allowed to just make your own alcohol as long as you don't sell it? It sounds like a cool pastime. Plus if you have a cellar and you have someone you hate, you can lure them into it by promising them your home brewed alcohol and lock them in there forever.
>How've you been though?
This question has an aura of biology around it but I've been pretty good. I'm starting to read the documentation for the godot game engine to see if I can do what I want to do in there instead of rpgmaker.
>>
>>82967752
Well, it seems I'm about 6 years older than you. Also, I do remember those movies. Also my usage of alcohol is more like "once every few years", which is even better B^). Also for the US you can make and sell your own alcohol as far as I'm aware, you just can't distill alcohol and try to sell it without a special permit or license. Which, from what I remember, is to prevent people from dying to methanol poisoning. I just gave my booze away though, mostly. No cellars where I live though.
>lock them in there forever
Hmm... Are you hatching devious plans over there, anon? Don't tell me you're gonna force your captives to wear kigu suits so you can take photoshoots of them for more pics to avatar with, are you?

Also, I've been found out it seems. Godot was nice enough, although I disliked their own language they used for it and the C# documentation was kind of lacking. Unity is another option instead of RPGmaker if you want even more documentation and hell, even tutorials. Their company is just sleazy is all.

Wow I was expecting a 3-4 year difference. Close enough lol
>Also my usage of alcohol is more like "once every few years", which is even better B^)
That's the best case scenario right there. Nice!
>is to prevent people from dying to methanol poisoning
That's actually very reasonable. The more you know.
>I just gave my booze away though, mostly. No cellars where I live though.
That's really nice of you to give it away. I assume you give it to family members since you're a NEET?
>Are you hatching devious plans over there, anon?
Nothing in particular.....

I just remembered the story "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allen Poe while I was coming up with a reply lol. Your idea is pretty good though.
>Unity is another option instead of RPGmaker if you want even more documentation and hell, even tutorials. Their company is just sleazy is all.
I actually never really considered Unity. I want to make a 2D turn based RPG and I've never heard of any coming from Unity (I also never looked for any to be far) so it just never crossed my mind. I've tried RPGMaker and while it looks alright for providing the bare bones you need for an RPG, if you want to do anything very specific or complex, it feels damn near impossible to find a simple answer other than "make the plugin yourself". I feel like they don't really let you mess with the base settings too much.

also I found a whole bunch of doll twitter (and Instagram) accounts on Wednesday so I might use those pics more often. Thanks for reminding me to go look. The doll and plush folder is actually just as big as the kigu folder now.

I'm going to be enjoy some audio porn and play resident evil and maybe finish dead space 2 and might watch some more horror movies I'm supposed to watch something with my mama tonight and eat candy enjoy the day anon
>>

I do feel old. Soon I'll get my magical powers though, then I can rejoice in that :). Also it was more out of necessity as methanol poisoning was a major problem for a lot of inexperienced moonshiners. Someone would just get the idea to make their own moonshine and end up poisoning themselves because they didn't know the process of separating out the nastier bits left in booze. Also yeah, I gave it away to mostly family. For moonshiners though there's three portions of their product. The head, the heart and the tail iirc. The head is the first stuff that comes over, then the heart and then the tail. The head and tail are noted as to when they end/start based on their smell or taste too. They'll be more bitter than the heart.

I haven't actually read any of Poe's works. What's The Cask of Amontillado like? The mentioning of a cask and luring people reminds me of the one Hungarian serial killer in WW1 who had pickled bodies in his house in barrels or casks.

Unity actually oriented a lot of their development for 2D stuff because they were hugely successful for mobile games. So you can definitely use Unity if you want. Do you already know how to program, fren? Also that's good to hear, I do like the dolls more than the dollified people. I forget if I asked before, but do you have plans to collect dolls or anything?

>Soon I'll get my magical powers though, then I can rejoice in that :)
Hell yeah! The path of the wizard is one that we both walk. Thank you for more alcohol lore. I usually assume laws related to recreational stuff like alcohol are mostly in place for money reasons so it's cool to know that it's not just that.
>Poe's works
I mostly only know about him because of middle school but his stuff really stuck with me ever since then. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan since I haven't read all of his stuff but from what I remember, his works are usually about death, longing, and murder. In The Cask of Amontillado, the MC (Main Character) leads a guy who he's spent his whole life with to his cellar during a festival by promising him to give him a rare alcohol called amontillado. At the start of the story the MC goes on about how the guy has personally wronged him and that he deserves what he's about to do to him. When they actually get to his cellar, the other guy is already super wasted from drinking at the festival and while he's barely aware of anything the MC slowly lays bricks down and walls him in some remote part of the cellar. The whole time the other guy thinks MC is joking around with him until the wall is complete and MC can no longer hear the other guy anymore and he leaves him there for years and is never heard from again.
>reminds me of the one Hungarian serial killer in WW1 who had pickled bodies in his house in barrels or casks.
Sounds like he would get along with the MC lol

I don't like mobile games but I'll still look into it after I look through Godot, thanks.
>Do you already know how to program, fren?
Unfortunately not. I only know some basic concepts that wrote down while taking notes when I was going through a C++ learning website and some other websites. I think I'll just learn as I go along instead of doing it beforehand because whenever I try to study it feels like I'm making no progress towards understand how to do the things I want to do and that it's all pointless. I think if I have to figure it out while working on the actual project I would learn a whole lot more than just remembering abstract concepts and definitions (or at least that's what I'm going to try doing for once).
>I do like the dolls more than the dollified people.
lol yeah I understand. I'll keep them coming :]
>I forget if I asked before, but do you have plans to collect dolls or anything?
If I ever move out, I would heavily consider it. But at the moment? Definitely not. The most I get are plushes related to things that I like but I don't really like the idea of my family seeing them. I'm not sure about you, but I REALLY don't like opening up in real life and nobody I know in real life really knows that I like these things. (I am slowly making progress though)

You still have 6 more years than I do, you may stray from the path yet. Especially considering you have a job and all. Girls just don't like NEETs but having a career is a big boost to your value with them. Also, happy to provide some lore B^). A fair bit of old timey laws are like that, but as you get more into this corporatist age you get more and more laws put into place to stop competition and what not. A sad state of affairs.

Also, I see. There was a medieval form of execution that was like that actually. The Hungarian serial killer was far more interested in wealthy, single ladies though. So I think the MC and him might not have gotten along so well.
>>82968075
Well, you of course don't have to make it a mobile game. It's just that 2D games are way easier for mobile devices(especially when Unity really exploded) to handle. Also, I see. There's tons of tutorials for stuff online too. I don't mind giving some tips or helping out if you run into a problem in the future. Just know that the nomenclature of them being 'languages' is very apt. All you're doing is writing out instructions for the computer, the really complicated stuff isn't anything you'll have to deal with in game development unless you wanna do shader code and even then only so-so.

I'm the same, I don't like opening up at all to people in real life. Although plushies and dolls aren't my thing either, I'd want to make weapons or armor or aquariums and what not instead. I've had ideas about making spidersilk clothes though. Ideas as well on improving their capabilities to resist damage. But for now I'm stuck in a dark, little room B^). Thus you're all safe from the horrors I would wrought upon the world had it not been this way >B^).

That's highly unlikely. I don't plan to start a romantic relationship in my life and I honestly don't really see that changing in the future. I would never have sex with someone who I'm not in a relationship with and girls are not going to throw themselves at me to change that anyway lol.
>The Hungarian serial killer was far more interested in wealthy, single ladies though. So I think the MC and him might not have gotten along so well.
Oh, fair enough then. They do have completely different reasonings and victims after all.
>Just know that the nomenclature of them being 'languages' is very apt.
Yeah, I've heard that once you know one language and how it works it makes it significantly easier to learn other languages at a fast pace. I'll definitely ask any questions if I have any later on. Everything (that I know of) is based on very consistent logic though so it's actually very pleasant to learn new things.
>I'd want to make weapons or armor
You would've been a blacksmith in a different time.
>Spidersilk clothes
I saw a golden cape made out of it like a year ago. The idea of harvesting silk from spiders sounds pretty normal but I cannot image how the process would actually look like. Would you even be able to get your hands on some?
>Ideas as well on improving their capabilities to resist damage.
Spider Silk Cape:
>+150% Fire Damage
>-200% Damage from Arachnids
>Special Properties: Sticky

>But for now I'm stuck in a dark, little room
We must make the most of the space that we are given. (Trying to be optimistic).
>Thus you're all safe from the horrors I would wrought upon the world had it not been this way
They knew you would be too powerful if left unnerfed...
>>
>>82968217
Why wouldn't you want romance in your life? I find that an odd thing. Also yeah, once you get good enough with a language it's just like speaking. You understand it all well enough and you just write things down as you would just any ol' person.
>You would've been a blacksmith in a different time.
Or a barbarian. Also where did you see that golden cape? I know I've posted it on the board before, it's from Madagascar iirc. Or at least the technique of harvesting spider silk. I've had my own ideas of just making... Well, a machine to house a spider in that would then produce silk :). This machine totally won't be a nightmare all in its own right.

That stickness for spider webs though is usually either from a structural kind of stickiness, similar to how geckos' toepads work, or just an actual adhesive glue. If you make the silk without the glue then there's no stickiness usually :).

Also don't worry, the isolation in this small room has surely made me not think of horrifying ideas. :). I never asked before though, what kind of job do you have?
>>
>>82967579
I really wanna go do stuff outside, but alas, no friends.
I feel rlly awkward doing things alone.
I have a costume, van helsing. What could a lonely robot do? Go see a show and get wasted, try talking to ladies? haha.

I just don't really see the need for it. I'm very comfortable being alone for a while and when I do get lonely I talk to people who I consider as friends. I really just don't feel like it.
>where did you see that golden cape?
I think it was on twitter but I barely remember. I saw it again when I looked it up just now on google images.

I thought that's just how it always is. That does make sense though because why would anyone want to wear sticky clothes? lol
>the isolation in this small room has surely made me not think of horrifying ideas.
Make sure to remember to catch yourself when you're spiraling into insanity.

I see. You don't ever have the yearning for a girl? No feeling of desire for someone to hold or anything? I mean I'm a pretty solitary person normally and will isolate myself from everyone as much as I can for long periods of time without issue but I still get the yearning for romance, especially if I've talked with a girl who's nice or interesting recently. Also, I see.
>The spider silk extractinator 9000
Lobotomized spiders kept alive and fed constantly whilst electrodes force them to spin silk. A fate too macabre for some.

Exactly also, but beyond that spiders make several different kinds of silk. The super potent stuff is the dragline silk, the stuff that holds up a web and reaches between far branches. The Darwin's Bark spider is the one that makes the toughest of the tough amongst that kind of silk too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwin%27s_bark_spider
>"Darwin's bark spider (Caerostris darwini) is an orb-weaver spider that produces the largest known orb webs, ranging from 900 to 28,000 square centimetres (140 to 4,340 sq in), with bridge lines spanning up to 25 metres (82 ft)."

Don't worry either, I'm quite sane, despite my japes otherwise. I just like to tease. Also, I see. That's still not a bad job and nope, never had a job. I've had family members offer and then retract their offers though. When you drop out of middle school it doesn't leave much open to you.
>>82968418
Hello, fren. Happy Halloween and just get some bandages and pretend to be mummy!
>>
>>82968635
>You don't ever have the yearning for a girl? No feeling of desire for someone to hold or anything?
Surprisingly, no not really. So far there hasn't been a girl who I've seen that made me feel that way. It's really just the surface level "Oh, she's hot" or "She's cute" and that's really where it ends. I do enjoy reading romance stories and other people's romantic experiences though.
>Lobotomized spiders kept alive and fed constantly whilst electrodes force them to spin silk. A fate too macabre for some.
Spiders would write dystopian stories about you if they could.
>Darwin's Bark Spider
I thought the abdomen of the spider was a face and that the picture was just some random demon for a split second lmao. This is a bit random but since we're on the topic of spiders, are there any spider that have a web that's harmful to touch in some way? There seems to be a whole bunch of different varieties so I don't think it's impossible for it to exist.
>When you drop out of middle school it doesn't leave much open to you.
Makes sense when the overwhelming majority of jobs require a high school diploma (or equivalent) or even higher than that.

Hm. That's quite odd. I wonder what would cause that. You don't have any fears about romance, right? Also I've come up with many of my own, the spiders and I could trade ideas :).

As for harmful webs, I don't believe so. I do know there's a whole group of spiders that lack venom though and they kind of kill their prey by squeezing them to death with their webs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uloboridae

Also those employers wouldn't want someone with no work experience by 29, let alone an awkward sperg B^).
