What do you guys believe about the shroud of Turin
>>82977564Definitely was not accidental
>>82977564Pretty sure scientists have already said it's akin to the shadows that were made by the Hiroshima bomb. A blinding light imprinted itself on the shroud basically
>>82977564>>82977579Scientist here. It's all bullshit and you've been grifted. Cope.
Real, read this. Christ is King
>>82977645jesus is dead and you worship a dead jew who was propagandized by ancient jews as the new david. Notice how you call him "king".
>>82977564No I don't really believe it but even if I did I still don't see how that tells us if god is real.
>>82977564its debunked because thats not how shapes workif the cloth was on top of him wed be able to see his ears and shit on the cloth but the face is curved
Why do the earliest depictions of Jesus not include the beard and long hair? Did everyone forget what he looked like couple of centuries? Why did he suddenly start appearing just like a stereotypical Greek philosopher around the same time Christians were trying to convert Greeks and Romans?
>>82977892source? interesting
>>82978504probably cultural reasons at the time? If greek philosopher art style was "in" at the time, it makes sense to depict Jesus the same way.
>>82977564people posting shit that they made their chatgpt say is actually the worst thing ever
>>82977892>>82978509Hadn't thought about that. If the cloth was covering his entire body then indeed It should look like the head was "flattened" like in those 3D paper toys, and not just like a forward projection. That image would only occur if the cloth was stretched straight in front of him.>sourceMe
It's real if you believe hard enough.
>>82978504Because the earliest images were from pagan converts, outside of Judaea and centuries later. It's the same reason why pic rel depicts Biblical soldiers with medieval soldiers.>Why did he suddenly start appearing just like a stereotypical Greek philosopher around the same time Christians were trying to convert Greeks and Romans? They had already been converted, the depictions you are complaining about were made by them. The change in style was due to the discovery of the shroud (then called the Mandylion), while the walls of Edessa were being repaired due to flood damage.
>>82978935>with medieval soldiers*as medieval soldiers
>>82978509>>82978702https://archaeologymag.com/2025/08/shroud-of-turin-image-came-from-sculpture/basically the image on the shroud of turin could only exist if the cloth was laid on a flat surface and someone drew a human on itif it was actually wrapped around on top of a human it would look very differentjudging by the fact that the shroud is in a museum and no ones allowed to study it at all due to fears of it being accidentally permanently damaged i doubt they will ever study to see how exactly it was painted onbut the physics doesnt lie, this image cannot be real due to the curvature
>>82979133https://www.livescience.com/archaeology/shroud-of-turin-wasnt-laid-on-jesus-body-but-rather-a-sculpture-modeling-study-suggestsshroud of cuckrin deboonked, laws of physics and space doesnt work and bend like this
>>82979133>>82979146picrel what it would actually look like
What's crazy is no one can confirm how it was made and how the image got there. Like they can't recreate it with modern tools, let alone medevil ones. And the image that everyone knows, wasn't even visible until a negative was made from a photograph. So how do you make an image that won't show up centuries before the technology to see it is even invented. I've been an atheist by entire life, and the shorud of turin is the first thing to make me question that.
>>82977564it's fake like pretty much every other relic of its ilk, but that doesn't have any impact on my faith because i don't worship objects
>>82977564I would share a piece of my pizza with Jesus
