My parents never kissed my mouth when I was a kid(I think thats some weird med thing anyway) and they educated me early about how I should not be sharing eating utensils and drinking from the same water bottle as other people.now at the age of 33 year old khhv I can say I've never had a coldsore and I've never had a cavity or tooth decay despite eating alot of sugar and brushing my teeth once a week maximum.Tooth decay is caused by acid producing bacteria which are not present in my mouth biome and are typically passed to others through kissing
