I feel like a cunt for not being able to give you a better answer because I know how horrible it is and I would get pissed off when I heard other people talking about how they "got over" the phobia. But I can't attribute it to my own efforts apart from tackling other OCD shit like intrusive thoughts about other things, maybe the benefits from that carried over. Or maybe I just got tired of worrying all the time. I still dislike the idea of getting sick, but I don't worry about it every day the way I used to. I don't plan my life around it any more. I don't wash my hands constantly. I don't avoid eating out. I used to go pale at the mention of it. Ahhhh I wish I could say something more helpful!
