hello tourist here. i self harmed for the first time since i was a teenager and i had to get glued back together. i did it while i was drunk. been debating starting to cut regularly again. on on hand it felt like the most therapeutic thing i had done in a while, particularly seeing the blood. but i also dont want to upset family and friends, and while i want scars at the same time i dont. what do.

I'd say it's good you have awareness to avoid things that'll make you think about that thing, but concerning if you're having those thoughts come back. >What kind of stories did they have?Romans didn't have much of their own myths originally(they more ritual less stories while Greeks were the opposite) and did a lot of copying of the Greeks, but also had the benefit of fully developed Greek philosophical tradition to work with (which Greeks got later after their myth telling days) so their telling of the stories were more polished and thoughtful. The story of Aeneas, the Trojan hero who's seen as a sort of fore father prior to Rome's founding, touches on the fall of Troy and other Greek myths, but also the philosophy of Plato and his ideals. Roman's also have the Golden Ass, the story of a smartass guy who gets turned into a donkey by a witch. Think that work is where the main myth of Cupid survived through. Kinda a fun and amusing story that was influence a bit by Asiatic mystery cults. I'd say a lot of Roman lit skews towards history, but that's fun too.
