Dogs aren't that expensive you get them their shots and they basically just need food and water. I buy my dog rachel ray nutrish and freshpet rolls I mix together and he eats 2 small meals a day. Bags of treats last months because I also give him fresh vegetables as treats. It's not that bad especially if you get pet insurance for big emergencies
