The turkey is literally named after the country Turkey. I thought it was just a concidence that we came up with the same name for the bird.
>>83268236Nah, I think thats bs
oh, you're right. that pretty funny. i propose we change the common name of this bird to turkiye
>>83268236i dont know, dont ask me. whats your deal?
>>83268236Wait until you find out why kiwi fruit and birds are called that.
chicken kievs are popular here in the UK. named after Kyiv in Ukraine, the English name was traditionally Kiev (just how these things go).around the time of the Ukraine invasion, more supermarkets/restaurants started calling then 'chicken kyivs'. good job guys, you're really helping the war effort.
>>83268895I'm going to keep calling it Kiev just like I'm not going to call the tranny a woman.
>>83268834okay i'm confused. i was mostly wondering about why we called New Zealanders 'Kiwis' and it's just that the bird is their national symbol. cute.the bird itself is a 'kiwi' because the indigenous tribes in New Zealand named it after its bird call. Then 'kiwifruit' was invented because some New Zealand exporters wanted a name that wasn't 'Chinese gooseberry'?
>>83268895It's just a chicken tender with butter insideChicken with broccoli inside is better
>>83268956there are so many different copes people use to pretend they're not just eating chicken tendies. chicken cordon bleu is just tendies with ham and cheese inside. that's not on the kids' menu, that's available in fine dining establishments.
