>>83270952So in the city, most places would accept credit card. You can get cash withdrawn from 7/11 atm with decent fees and exchange rate. You also will need a transit card like suica or pasmo (any of them works for most part) which you can get at the airport, there usually a booth you can buy one and put money on in the train station connected to the airport. You can also use these to buy stuff like a debit card. Japanese not really necessary for the most part in a city like Tokyo. You can learn some basics and use translation apps to get by. Of course if you go further away from the city, might be difficult
