By sincerely I don't mean hipster quirky shit, I mean you were actually using it like normal while other people upgraded. I personally watched stuff on VHS until 2017-2018 because I didn't have cable or Internet. I could get tapes for a quarter at the thrift store so financially there was no reason to upgrade.

Fuck streaming

How long did you use it for, OP, I don't think I touched a VHS past the 00s.
Although the VHS player and our collection is still under the TV stand where we left it.

Same. One cheap VHS tape could hold 6 hours of shows. Adult Swim was my favorite thing to record since it aired in the middle of the night. It was more fun to watch it the next day in the morning.

I kept my VCR in use until streaming on the internet became much cheaper than cable. Then it seemed stupid to pay for live TV anymore.

Had tapes since the 00s (zoom zoom here) but for most of the 2010s I watched most of my movies on VHS. I did have DVDs and limited access to the Internet (mobile data) but I'd say 80% of my entertainment was from VHS tapes. Honestly I was probably happier when it was like that so maybe that's the way.

I unironically used my 60gb iPod Video (got it in 2008) until around 2022. The main reason is because it has a very useful track playcount function and it helps me a lot to learn what songs I actually love. I stopped using it because I got lazy adding new stuff (you have to run proper mp3 tagging on each file). Also I've been using a Sandy Bridge Thinkpad with the classic keyboard since 2013, long before ledditors and hipsters started talking about them, because I'm poor and it does basic tasks and web browsing just fine.

I still use my 2DS from time to time, probably the best dedicated handheld ever made before handhelds became dedicated shitdroid machines

My dad recorded the entirety of Star Trek TV shows on betaMax tapes. All ToS, TnG, DS9, and voyager. I used that betaMax player up til like 2018 when it finally died but I'd just have my own stat trek marathons when the Internet would crap out

Btw I never found a similar feature on other devices or phones, I don't think Zunes had it and the audiophile stuff was either worth hundreds or was a pain in the ass (my iPod works and syncs seamlessly with either iTunes or foobar2000 and a few others). I really fucking wish there were Android apps that did this but apparently nobody cares about such a function.

Sounds like hell

CDs. Metric fuckton of CDs. Had a car that was newish but not new enough to have all the Bluetooth and shit but also no aux cord. Dashcam used up only usable lighter port so no transmitter. Had them all 20 to 40 year discs until some retard living floor below decided covid lockdown is a great time to fry oneself and burn up half of my apartment building

1. I listen to full albums because my undiagnosed ADHD isn't THAT bad
2. It's organized so I know roughly where things are
>>
>>83272183
Youre lying. You dont listen to a full album every time. Im sure you sometimes just want to listen to a single song then listen to another song from a different artist.

I had one of those "throw it out/sell it" manic retarded toxic mothers so I have nothing all that old. Only stuff from like the 2010s since I was in my 20s on my own. My laptop is still from 2011 I have my Ipod classic from high school etc but I don't use them. Also I had to sell most of my physical media to move away from my toxic relatives I couldnt carry around a ton of possessions so every move I became more and more minimalist out of survival not some trendy aesthetic. Sometimes I envy horder people that have every video game, and cd and dvd and vehicle and toy from their whole lives. But it is what it is can't hold onto the past and what's gone is gone. My cellphone is from 2018 with a SD card with my music library I have been adding to since my ipod days, fuck streaming.

That sucks atleast if you burn down your own house you know you fucked up but with a apartment building you can do everything right and some moron can fuck around and still all your shit is destroyed.

I still buy CDs, but I do immediately rip them. There's still times when I play from the CD though. I used a CRT TV so long that the next TV I bought I was a 4K one. I completely skipped over 1080p.
