Honest question why? Especially in Japan where the chances of work resulting in anything other than an early death via heart disease are slim to none.

Because it's what decent human beings do?
>>

its annoying and predictable that when some made up political issue gets popular everything has to suddenly be related to it no matter the place or time
you're a retard
>>
>>83277401
>just ignore the problem, goy
>you're a retard if you notice

Japan is a mostly homogeneous country, the immigrants account for only about 3% of the population with the majority of them being other east asians from china and korea

migrant schizophrenia aside, the rest of that post is not that dumb
>>
>>83277364
Japan be like NYOOOOOO make kids pls pls pls pls

but then japan is like yes also work 90 hours a week or you are an outcast

what is their problem anyway
>>
>>83277622
forcing the current buzzword problem into anything really annoys me
but I agree that the focus on working being more important than your own needs and it being so normalized and promoted, is bad
>>
>>83277652
>work 90 hours a week
This isn't really a thing, Japan doesn't have particularly a high rate of hours worked yearly compared to its OECD peers. What they do have is a retarded presenteeist work culture that values looking like a good worker regardless of your actual productivity which makes you do shit like wasting time for the sake of appearances.
>>
>>83277680
>This isn't really a thing
Well that is because people don't account the mandatory after work eating / drinking with the boss / coworkers as working hours but i do.
>>
>>83277689
That is an annoying part of their work culture but I'd classify it as something separate just to avoid the confusion some people get about Japanese people literally dying from "overworking". Some people seem to have this idea that work in Japan is about being some kind of restless robot that must constantly burn calories to generate maximum profit, when in truth it's more about what you're saying here, dealing with a zillion retarded forms of social pressure and expectations to perform rituals.
>>
>>83277364
Just to be clear, she was saying that SHE was going to "work, work, work, work and work". It was her promise to the people of Japan, not a demand she was making of them.
>>
>>83277652
Its more of a cultural problem, countries with good working environment still have declining birth rates, countries in africa where they work way more to not starve have kids sprouting like grass, when a culture gives total freedom for women to choose their partner or to be single by their high standards and when to have kids or not by getting rid of them, the birth rate declines. Its a price paid for progress.

Come on, huh? Develop some sense for subtlety and detail.

When you say that as a politician and you triple down on those words, then what are you actually signaling? They want the 996 shit worldwide to compete with China and to eliminate the concept of leisure time because it gave people a bit too much time to think and talk about things, plus the idea that you do something for yourself on their planet rubs them the wrong way.

Source?

My ass, you'll have to make do with it.

They elected Rhianna?

Work?
Nah, I'm importing 1 million Italians and 1 million Spaniards

What progress? Red herring.
